guys if you could look into the future this is what you'd see, be warned he will do exactly the same here that he's done elsewhere.

Fatty

Don't forget VAST and Hummingbird as well.
Well there is nothing left for you to ramp here is there.
Also there is no chance you posting you hold shares anywhere else, would leave you open for attack. Just go around other bb's slagging of other peoples investments. Because we all know your record on just this one investment here.

As forecast by me the sells have started to come in.
The mm's are trying to make it look not as bad as it is by moving the mid price up, while all the time the bid and offer are dropping.
New all time lows will be here this week some time, imo.
With no buyers and a seller watching his money disappearing,He could just end up getting out at any price.
But i am sure you can see this for your self.

Thanks for that bit of info Mattjos, it would indicate that more are taking notice of the progress of AAZ. Perhaps a flurry of activity is expected when the results are published?

5 MM's here now (as opposed to 4 for the last few years) but, they still move the spread out to 3p at first sign of determined buying.
Looking at the trading volumes dry up as the spread widens, folk are less willing to get involved when they do this. MM's will have to narrow the spread if they want any business between news releases.

peterpowell21, you too have noticed that correlation. An article in the Sunday broadsheets giving a puff to this or that 'solid prospect', merely a device to give insiders a chance to off load stock. Not quite so sure it works in the metal markets though given the divergent uses of gold and copper, one will work to industrial cycles and the other to investment cycles. In the long run paper declines against real things, but will one live long enough!

Yes, indeed you are quite correct wrighty. That is what happened in circa 2010 .. the news broke in the Azeri press first before the RNS was issued here.

Last 4 years update has come between 11th -17th July. So anytime from Wednesday onwards but to am leaning towards some time next week. Regarding resources updates, company estimates compliant to Azeri ministry would be most welcome a few weeks before the official Jorc is released. The company has done this in the past.

it’ll be the “net debt” figure to watch - total debt minus cash/cash equivalents on hand. Really silly cheap is surely nailed on barring anything unforeseen!

They also might prefer to retain the debt to keep working capital available, they currently have exploration expenditure to cover, and there might be tax reasons to run some debt? But if their projections of circa 80,000 eqv ounces are in line, and at a cost of $604 an ounce then the gross numbers look very good. It goes from very cheap to really silly cheap.

Worth remembering that Reza’s $4m was paid off on the 29th March, falling in Q1...

Well, in 2017 they reduced net debt by $16.5m which is around $4.1m per quarter. With the high gold price in 2018 and the debt becoming less of a burden (lower interest rate) I can see them wiping $6m - $7m off in Q2.

From Q4 (2017) to Q1 (2018) they managed to reduce net debt by $8m!

"Net debt reduced by 43% during Q1 2018 to $10.4 million at 31 March 2018 (31 December 2017: $18.3 million)"

at the risk of sounding like a broken record, these should be the numbers that really put AAZ on the map.
bumpa33

judging by the numbers from the traditionally weak Q1 then net debt could well be down to zero or there abouts. I think the upcoming update could be nothing short of phenomenal but let's see.

if there's no declaration how would you know there's something to declare ?

I agree with Mattios yes you do have to declare you holding at certain levels, up or down. But very rarely do you see them report at all, or weeks or even months after.
Regulations mean nothing in AIM.

Seller finished and back to 50p in short order.
Q2 results to provide plenty of impetus.
Then we await end of Q3 and DIVIDEND
