thanx Brasso, will take a look :-) Cheers Wan :-) |
People have already copied/ folked the BTC algorithm and they all have failed relative to BTC:-
BSV - Bitcoin Satoshi Vision BCH - Bitcoin Cash LTC - Litecoin
Do yourself a favor and read 'The Bitcoin Standard' by Saifedean Ammous:-
A free version on pdf:- |
many thanx B3,, fingers crossed you and everyone else involved are correct and little old me is wrong :-) :-),,,, but, why can't someone simply start BTC2, same algo, but, with half the total number of coins to be mined,,, wouldn't that coin automatically be worth 2x BTC1 and then another at a quarter the total number of coins being mined, be worth BTC3 = 4xBTC1 and so on... if it's to do with scarcity that is!?
you can't mine enough Gold, quick enough to do the same,,, when you compare gold in the ground versus gold above the ground,,,, to me, anyhow....
Copper, sure, not so scarce, hence, not so valuable...
Is BTC a commodity, a currency or really nothing at all ?
Cheers Wan :-) |
Good afternoon all, Cheers Wan :-) |
Some education for our good friend Wanobi on bubbles:- |
FTC results on Tuesday. The expectation is currently that exponential growth over the last 12-24 months becomes revenues dropping in the next 2 years. I reckon they will continue growing. Theres a superb video link to Paul Staveley of Rock wood on the FTC board that explains all. |
The market will not believe it until we see H1 2025 financials. |
SEA, still tracking and still very well offered, there’ll be a time for it again, but not right now it would seem… |
SCGL - CLN conversion announced after hours. If you look at the prices of conversion you need your head examined if you think buying at huge multiples of that CLN is a good idea. Insane. |
And that AISC was at a gold price of $2450 and we are nearly 15% above that now. Happy days! |
SP Angel have an AISC of $1040 for FY25 in their model which includes PSA |
Central Banks are desperate to reduce rates and they already have the taps full on to try and support economies but growth is anaemic at best. Strength in commodities are going to frustrate efforts to quell inflation but it's where the money is going to go - into tangible, fungible, unprintable commodities. |
spot on Brasso. CRB Index chart is a cracking bull flag break .. expect at least next 18 months of v. strong commodity prices |
One thing for sure, the AISC will be falling from here on with Gold prices seeming set to keep rising, and more mine capacity coming on line.
I guess today being the end of a month must be a settlement date for a chunk of futures contracts? Anyone short will be scrambling for metal to square their books. It must be a white knuckle ride for some of them. |
thanx to all for your continued support of the thread this week,,,, it's beer time for me,,, wishing you all a fine weekend, cheers Wan :-) |
Thanks for your input JB. |
thanx jb2 :-)
understood :-) |
:) It’s a fair shout, that even in a year where we had the plant shut for 4 months AISC was c.$1500 but it didn’t stop us losing $30m |
Guys' I have been thinking about the Demirli Mine. People here at times think there could be staff training etc. shortage and will take time. From what I have resurched I don't think there will be a problem regarding staff. A lot of people from Turkey are already working for AAZ. A lot of young people from Azerbaijan go to Turkish Unis to get their mining degrees. I think once the various reports from the likes of Knight Peasold etc are forthcoming things will start to happen at the Demirli Mine site reasonable quickly. Let's see what information the Co. gives in February. All to look forward to. ATB. |
no worries, I just thought it would be good to show the ASIC and how the rising price of gold kinda looks, that's all,,, ie
free stock charts from uk.advfn.com
if (big IF) ASIC stayed at $1510/oz,,,, and gold back in 23 versus what we'll be getting for it now :-)
Cheers Wan :-) |
Ah right, yep, I suspect it’ll worse than that for 24 as a greater proportion of the year was without the plant running (24 vs 23), but of course the staff costs may mitigate that etc. I doubt everyone was on gardening leave from day 1 in ‘23 etc. Whereas it was presumably a phased return to work in ‘24 for the staff etc |
:D No worries, it’ll be a fair shout when we’ve had the plant running for long enough but suspect we won’t get the data to be able to work it out ourselves for 17 months. The co may come up with a figure before then of course. |
aha, ok, apols,,, I see your point :-) :-) doh!
Year ended 31 December 2023 Revenue $ 45.8 m All in sustaining cost (“AISC”) - $ 1,510 oz
back to the morons thread where I belong LOL :-) |
