Morning all, oil play that might finally reward its long suffering share holders.Tethys petroleum listed on the Canadian venture exchange. Used to have main lse listing. Huge acreage in Kazakhstan with decent reserves. Long story short after over 10 years of struggling to keep the lights on, fighting corruption and trying to bore shareholders into selling, the company is imminently awaiting field development approval and a route to work markets for their oil should follow. Also the board are seeking a listing on the nyse as operations improve. Still a risky play, but once approval comes could be a juicy takeover target. Most lth need around $5 to break even currently $1cad to buy. Volume and sp on the rise last week or so in anticipation of approval. DYOR NAI.

Wan Azerbaijan is still very corrupt anything can happen if the right wheels are not oiled. I am currently working with a few engineers that have lived there and even married locals. One went into a side business with a bar in Baku and related the story of the local official that came in to look at his new proposed cellar bar. Only one access in or out so did not comply with regulations he was advised a cash payment would solve the problem. I would expect AAZ know the way things work over there and will make things happen but recent events prove anything can happen when the rule of law is flexible. I should have heeded my own opinion long ago when I first started buying into this company and taken cash off the table when Bill hinted of a takeover and the SP rocketed up.

Wan the valuation in the ground for a discovry of this size will have to be JORC'd as far as I know. The valuation would be big in $ Billions for the stuff in ground discovered, hopefully. That is how I see it. What price for the discovry Co to be paid for a takeover,in a safe place like Australia?? I think it is around 1.5 to 2 % of the discovery value.
