29/10/2016 20:13 | Zhockey .. funny how it came back to fill the gap at 3.5p is it not?I predicted it would at 35p on other thread and just bided my time until it did that.I posted here a few minutes before the last big run stated that if charts are in any way correct, it was about to go.To dismiss charting in such a glib fashion is pretty daft, imo.If you don't or have not yet used a chart here to help with you buying points then, frankly, more fool you.You may not agree with the craft but, if the majority of participants do follow the chart then, you are akin to a boxer entering the ring choosing to keep one arm behind your back | mattjos
29/10/2016 17:54 | If someone is intent on buying a stake then I think the chart will pan out. | philo124
29/10/2016 15:42 | Zockey The AAZ chart seems to indicate that charting plays a big role here. If enough people believe in it then it tends to influence buying and selling with the smaller players. I agree that if someone is intent on buying a stake at any price (or within a range) then charting may not pan out. | brasso3
29/10/2016 15:16 | Charting is a load of old tosh in my view, if a volume buyer continues then AAZ will go up, otherwise it will drop until news, simple as that. | zhockey
29/10/2016 00:43 | Looks like the gap to 25p is going to close. Maybe a good thing then we can move on through 34p. | brasso3
28/10/2016 21:14 | FBI reopens Hillary Clinton email investigation just 11days before the US go to the polls. Trump must be chomping at the bit, what timing hey | bleepy
28/10/2016 21:06 | I'll give you that jeanesy. Very good week for AAZ.Cant help feeling that as the Election Day approaches, the email scandal will brew up further .. have they kept the most incriminating Clinton emails until last? I would do that for maximum damage to the dwarf | mattjos
28/10/2016 21:03 | Still cant see Trump winning. I said the shareprice would go down short term.. it has ! Still dont think we will meet revised production target. Yes i see gold has kept above 1270 today ! Im still holding though and looking to add more if the price is right Mattjos :) lets see what next week brings.. this week was certainly a good one for AAZ shareholders. | jeanesy
28/10/2016 20:20 | Gold on the rise again tonight next week will go higher. | blueball
28/10/2016 20:08 | According to jeanesy:- Trump has no chance of winning- gold can't hold $1,270- AAZ will miss annual production target- AAZ share price will go downStill sure jeanesy? :-) | mattjos
28/10/2016 13:06 | looks like mms will work hard to pick up some shares while they can | jbe81
28/10/2016 06:54 | Reza Vaziri states that his ambition is for AAZ to be a mid tier gold mining company, to be classified as mid tier a company needs to be producing between 200,000 oz and 1 million oz per annum, So if he won't be taking offers anytime soon if he wants to realise his ambition. | timberwolf3
27/10/2016 21:51 | I've no hard proof on this but, Mr. Vaziri has always struck me as a pretty honourable type of chap. I do believe that in his mind is a determination to show a return to all investors .. by that I mean all the way back to and including those that bought shares on the first day of trading in the stock. The man was genuinely excited about the state of play at the AGM & that position has come about as a consequence of years & years of hard graft by him and his team. All these years of building up AAZ to this point in time ... I don't see him being tempted by any opportunistic low-ball offer. He clearly enjoys business & growing a business. I concluded a long time ago that he was determined to be at the reins of the company and see the IPO price far-exceeded. Only time will tell .. it's still a long way to go and likely others will not be similarly persuaded until the share price exceeds 80p. In the meatime, I do think we ought to be mindful of the crew getting on with the job a the sharp end of the business .. particularly those going into Gadir every day - that is a job I would not fancy under any circumstance | mattjos
27/10/2016 21:39 | I agree with you Matt, its not my preferred outcome, just today I am convinced it is how it is going to pan out, no reason why I should be right. if it is I hope it is for over £1.40 a share, think it would depend on what Reza was offered afterwards as to what he would except. If it is Azergold's plan, they would want to get it done before gold went higher or AAZ came out with any more drilling results. | jbe81
27/10/2016 21:33 | ok jbe .. now you've clarified your logic behind the statement it makes sense to me. Let us hope not .. . much too early for that | mattjos
27/10/2016 21:32 | Would prefer to wake up to an rns saying we have done a deal for aimroc assets and some outstanding drilling results | jbe81
27/10/2016 21:28 | I am not suggesting it wouldn't be amicable, maybe Reza and Sununu have already named their price, the whole company are keeping their jobs and Reza will oversee gold mining in Azerbaijan. Just my opinion today, Matt, and most probably completely wrong. | jbe81
27/10/2016 21:17 | maybe consider the wider political position right now. Putin is leading what he believes is and can be a resurgent Russia. The old Russian states and conquered nations are genuinely concerned about this (my travels have shown me first hand how palpable this fear now is in countries such as Poland) The Azerbaijan state is more likely interested in trying to ensure it keeps its Western allies onside right now .. particularly given the proximity of Russian backed Armenia. This is the time for Azerbaijan to be welcoming more foreign investment & reassuring existing foreign investment enterprises. | mattjos
27/10/2016 21:11 | Didn't offer any reasoning as don't want to influence anyones thinking and also thought it might start a debate Matt :). Just wanted to state my opinion( and as I said that could change tomorrow, but today I am convinced) | jbe81
27/10/2016 21:09 | My opinion is based on an article I can't find and probably misread or was mis translated Matt! Which I thought said there would be one state run gold mining company in Azerbaijan I think you shares will be bought off you for, plucking a figure out of thin air £1.25. Am I adding 2 and 2 and getting 57, probably. A month ago I said the shares would be 40p by now, they only got to 32p! I hope I am wrong(and most probably am!), gold follows your charts and we get £2+ for our shares. Any new posters reading this, Matt knows more about AAZ than I do! | jbe81
27/10/2016 20:57 | jbe .. either a typo of some sort or, simply a poorly constructed opinion. Sorry but, I can make no sense of that logic whatsoever. Absolutely piddling amount of shares traded today, either way. Do you honestly think those of us that spent best part of 12 months buying throughout 2015 buying the stock sub 6p are going to be selling up now? Before we get to know more about the true extent of the Gedabek field? | mattjos
27/10/2016 20:33 | Another large buy today. It is now my opinion that no poster here will hold a share here in 6 months time, probably 3. If the buys stop or we get a holdings RNS my opinion will change! | jbe81
27/10/2016 17:35 | Group strategy Anglo Asian Mining PLC's strategy is to utilise its first mover advantage and leverage the experience of its board and management team to build a leading gold, copper and silver producer in Azerbaijan and Caucasia. Key pillars of the strategy are as follows: > Optimisation of gold production at its Gedabek site, in particular the performance of its agitation leach plant, to ensure maximum production at lowest possible cost > Optimisation of flotation processing at its Gedabek site to exploit the copper content of the ore > Increase of its production profile by identifying further resources and reserves in proximity of the Gedabek mine such as Gadir. > Exploration of the Ordubad site to replicate Gedabek. The last bullet point interesting as we await exploration results from Ordubad. They are looking to replicate Gedabek. Another potential Gedabek for Aaz or maybe a predator. This certainly stacks up against new discovery of Ugur(open to length and depth) and exploration of Bittibulag. As already mentioned they are exploring just a fraction of their contract acreage to date. Not forgetting ongoing exploration of Gadir. | bleepy
27/10/2016 15:13 | My guess is 70% strategic acquisition and 30% momentum traders. | zhockey
27/10/2016 12:33 | Mattjos Nobody wants chimps, trolls and time wasters, goes without saying. I'm cool with that. Csm being new to this board I guess has been a little enthusiastic, the share price movement and regularity of chunky buys has no doubt fuelled that and probably would have worn off once his excitement subsided (along with the chunky buys). Those buys have us all guessing some more silent than others. OK? Yes I'm fine with ok. Care to speculate on these buys? | bleepy |
