If the share price matched the company's operations and potential we would all be happy.

It's becoming quite obvious that some are recognising the above hence the noticeable chunks of share purchase of late. So just maybe the true value will out.

Day traders, specialist or not usually conduct their business without announcement and to a well tested pattern. All legal and above board.

Many here recognise the true value and potential, I'm sure the company welcome free pr and healthy discussion in spreading the word.

Each to their own, but over the last week only about one in twenty posts have been about the company's operations and potential. This is becoming more of a traders thread.

Yes more discussion on fundementals and less on share prices levels works for me. Not none, but less.

Watch out for the big limit order buys today, the first yesterday was at 8.21 if I remember right and was for 67k shares and totalled 217k yesterday which is more buys than on a normal trading day (apx 150k per day) on their own

Anyone think could be takeover? We have had three large rises with huge volume compared to normal then 4 large limit orders, one at start of day two in middle of day two hours apart then one at end of day, something a foot? Dyor imho

CSM .. would you wind it back down a bit please? The thread is just filling up with a load of posts that are not adding much to the debate. New visitors see all this short term up/down/I've made a fiver gibberish and it is a negative.Punters love all that stuff on the chimps traders thread but, I believe the general consensus is we'd rather not have so much of it here. In case you hadn't noticed, you've been talking to a dwindling audience here today as long term investors don't want this here.Trust that is ok with you.

It's certainly possible a group is looking for assets in Azerbaijan with aaz the main target along with some Azergold licenses.
Most long term holders here know as far as the resource goes aaz have barely scratched the surface but it takes time to prove up, they'll add a lot more in time.

That's what makes me think takeover, come on been running this for years then quite literally strikes gold, could be one of our miners or even Chinese company, offers him a lot of money and a well paid job if he wants it and makes shareholders who have stayed with him a lot of money aswell, in years to come everyone in the business will remember that and he could get funding to look for sand in the desert because everyone would trust him with anything, IMHO dyor

"There might be some more encouraging exploration news in the pipeline and the info has leaked."

Closer to the truth id say. The Oxidized ore they have just found is literally just scratching the surface i would say, its long been known/assumed that the whole town is built on rich ore which was historically difficult to extract, now look at the area between the town, the copper mountain open pit, gedir mine and bittalbug on google earth and you will get an idea of the scale of the deposit. Thats one big area

Again still don't think this is the most likely explanation of what is happening here. Just a possibility that gets less remote with everyday of sustained buying without a holdings rns

Would be surprised if Reza sold for a £1. But if you bought 30 percent of the company at an average of 50p a share you would mind paying well over £1 for the rest.

I've only been here for six months or so, I know they have made money on past but does anyone know the total losses to date, I've read around £200m on capex so let's say if they have not lost anymore than £200m they would have £40m in corp tax credits which if someone bought it they could use imho

I doubt the management and large holders would sell out for less than 100p today, after all these years of effort and investment, and just when it seems that things are starting to look rosy.NAI

Average volume normally 300k? All of a sudden the day after new discovery volume starts hitting 2-3m, even today apx 700k but apx 217k of that looks like one buyer not to
Mention lots of smaller 5000 10000 15000 and 20000 trades, they could have took bigger stake and we wouldn't know till 3% mark, how soon after do they have to mention 3%?
