When I read that MiningMaven article(s) on KAT, it sounded quite convincing. Three things 1) it's a paid for article 2) it's ripping off Gwen Preston's handle 3) the author or associates don't hold any shares in the company they are so glowingly writing about! Red flags flying...

Everyone quotes Jesse Livermore...

forgetting he ended up penniless and shot himself... never been able to figure that one out myself...!

Rb - it’s easy to think ‘like an investor’ after the event, you took money from short term trades - as that’s what they were no? - bank the money, don’t look back, move on.

Lots of tempting shorts at the moment. I think this bounce has some legs though.

CINE, CCL, IAG to name a few.

Chaps ... I personally think a great short from here would be Commercial real estate.

With so many blue collar workers proving that they can work from home extended, I can see a significant reduction in need for prime and in most cases, extorionate rental space.

These potential savings will be flashing like red lights to CFO's around the world as we speak and they will already be working on plans to monetise ASAP.

JSE - great call so far KS, these guys are very professional, highly skilled, seemingly thinking of everything,,, very cautious, sensible, long term view of the future,,, everything still on the table, just delayed by cv19,,,, Vietnam Gas project still on and gas prices holding up etc etc.... Very pleased with the way JSE has handled cv19 and I cannot think of anything they should have done differently :-) excellent, well run business,,,, cash generative at >$20 oil now, $120m in cash, very little debt, strong balance sheet,,,, looking to be stronger at the end of the year that when they went into it which is staggering to me under the current conditions :-),,,, also M&A, they have some target assets coming to the market they are excited about,,,, some others are paused as sellers wait for a better price or even selling at all,,, also other assets coming to market they had not anticipated, but they are aware of a number of those,,,, expect busier M&A in the O&G market.... seems to me they're seriously considering TO options right now,,,,,, we shall see, fingers crossed... GLA Holders,,,,, sitting on my hands on this one for sure Rb LOL LOL Cheers Wan :-)

on the bigger, safer companies its better to sit and wait for the market to come to you. MARS is not mickey mouse AIM stuff where sitting can hurt.

Rule No. 2 – It’s NOT your thinking that will make you big money, it’s sitting on your hands.

There you go Rb :-) LOL

Yes Pogue there will definitely be a trade out there, even if for the bounce, just annoyed with myself for lack of discipline, even though it was a small hit.

Edit as if to prove a point MARS sprinting again as is AML did a pretty large turn between 40 and 44p last week, look where it is today, 54p.

Wan keep reminding me that Jesse quote, because my sitting has always, always bought me biggest gains.

Wan, the best place to ask would be the TST chat board, there's a few guys there who have been around the company a lot longer than I have.
But, in a nut shell, they provide data collection and mobile computing for industrial and commercial companies, vehicle tracking, telematics systems and associated software, that sort of thing. Growth wise, they're working more with independent software and 3rd party hardware mamufacturers (reducing costs) to gain access to a greater share of their market, plus working on expanding into new markets.

there will be a spike in all pub shares when positive news from government on reopening. In fact many bombed out shares will get a bounce when restrictions are slackened more, in many cases I suspect it will be a dead cat mind you. I intend to unload a few old lags from my portfolio then as I can't see how we are not going into a bad downturn.

AVW - Like the look of those results at TST - could you tell us a little more about the company? Growth prospects, strategy etc? Thanks!

Wan - thanks for the JSE link - have just registered for this mornings call. Have only skim read the results. Nothing we didn't expect - excellent cash generation and over $20/bbl premium on Stag production is huge (hope they have plans to increase production there a bit?). Only disappointment is the slight reduction in production due to weather (cyclones!) and maintenance. Bit surprised by the latter as I thought they had done all the maintenance work at Montara when they took the asset over? Guess hard to factor in weather related downtime, not much can be done about that, but something to consider re: seasonality of results. Hard to compare Q on Q as JSE have variable lifts/sales each quarter due to timing, but Q1 2020 down a little due to oil price down and the lower production as stated. They do keep re-emphasising the possibility of aquisitions at every update now it seems, so presumably there are some prospects being looked at closely and/or negotiations underway.

Comfortably trade 50k batches in AA. Wouldn’t let me do higher without going to broker. Good news is it’s a stock you can unload easy enough. Said before size matters eh ODR ;)
