It’s not that hard. Between following real interest rates and the debt to GDP ratio, we have a pretty good idea of where the precious metal is headed." Us too :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
18/5/2020 13:13 | Jbravo, same as now if I keep fit, running my smallholding and shagging the wife. digger dow currently showing +550 so maybe not, time will tell. if they do will be short lived as the current bull market has some way to go yet before topping out. | ![]() cinoib

18/5/2020 13:01 | Are the yanks going to popoo our POG party? I am sure that they will try, or had Trump run out of DOW busting tweets? Good research and predictions playing out nicely here. | ![]() digger18
18/5/2020 12:58 | @KS Small world. I grew up in Bromsgrove @waterloo Of course. That’s a perfectly sensible reaction. It’s not for everyone. I’d just point out you were that heavily invested in one company at one time. Your company. | jbravo2
18/5/2020 12:58 | 52 here, semi retired at 40 and now live in Tokyo and punt stocks ... | catsick
18/5/2020 12:53 | So then. I suspect news tomorrow is more likely than Wednesday. Give us time to read the broker reports and get questions ready for Thursday | ![]() mad foetus
18/5/2020 12:44 | GAN has been over £3.00 equivalent intra day mf, it's a long term hold for me, I just cannot see anything likely to stop its momentum apart from a take out at hopefully a high multiple of today's share price The whole US will open up to online casino/gambling and GAN is well placed to capture a fair bit of business. | ![]() fozzie
18/5/2020 12:44 | T his article is a good read. | ![]() avsome1968
18/5/2020 12:40 | Looks my my prediction of a delayed reaction to the results before a steady climb was pretty good :-) (So far anyway (post 34958) | ![]() supercity
18/5/2020 12:40 | why is AAZ so cheap? Pe of 10x and a yield of 4%. Plus geared to a rising gold price? what is there not to like? | ![]() sunnysideup1
18/5/2020 12:38 | I didn't retire early because of my investments, but through 20 years hard work and some luck in timing. Since then I live off investments and after 12 (so far very happy years) my pot is larger than when I retired. Can't complain about that. Unlike some, I'm very heavily diversified, so would be concerned by some who report such a large proportion of their PF's in one stock. I'm a risk taker, but wouldn't risk it to that extent on ANY company. | ![]() waterloo01
18/5/2020 12:26 | Shock and ore? You’re confused, that’s AAZ. And you’re definitely confused about ADVFN, you’re meant to have crazy targets for your SP’s not how long you live. You want to live to 125? What do you think you’ll be doing that last decade (or two)? | jbravo2
18/5/2020 12:25 | I am still working at 56, but it's a job I enjoy and I work in a very small office with three great guys. We have a lot of laughs and banter which keeps me sane. Kids are well on their own two feet now so just me and my wife to think abut. I have enjoyed being furloughed, I have read and read and read and walked and cycled and drank a lot of good wine. After working all my life with a max three week holiday at any one time the last eight weeks have been totally surreal. Looks like our business will be one of the last to reopen so at least another eight weeks off coming up. It's like a retirement trial, I've loved it! Thanks to all posters on this board, what a great bunch of people. | ![]() fozzie
18/5/2020 12:19 | Mattjos, no I work, for myself so can take time off as and when I fancy as it's not the money I work for as I earn that on investments and I think most on here are missing the point. Work, whatever it is keeps you interested in life and keeps you fit and if you are fit you don't have tokeep visiting the doc's like a lot do. Other day was talking with someone and had to show my I.D. they were in shock and ore when they saw my birth date, they could not believe I was that old. The man thought I was in my early 50's when actually I'll be 70 next year and as fit as a lop. All to do with keeping fit and working on the land and growing your own. I don't have any intension (unless fate interviens.) of leAving this world before my 125 birthday. So keep pushing gold towards that $2200 mark and that should push my gold holdings up 1005 which when sold will go a long long way to my goal. What happened to the 139 I saw before I went out, some fool sell out. Don't they know gold is in a strong bull market. | ![]() cinoib |
