14/5/2020 14:40 | Gold breaking now | mad foetus
14/5/2020 14:28 | They’re pinning a lot on the coming DBX, which does look amazing. Which is just as well as everything else in the range looks like a tarts handbag in sequins. No offense. | bumpa33
14/5/2020 14:23 | Forgot to say you would have thought F1 was enough of a challenge for him! | riggerbeautz
14/5/2020 14:22 | Very helpful bleepy! | baddeal
14/5/2020 14:19 | Like many others, probably thought could get away with anything. Some going right down the pan on this. SHI another that interests me because I know markets are not great for them, their debt needs resolving at some point. Same goes for MARS, it all depends how long these measures stay, 2nd CV wave etc and nobody knows! So how can you go seriously long on some of these indebted companies?! | riggerbeautz
14/5/2020 14:14 | Rb - that was kinda my point ;) AML, what was Stroll thinking? | bumpa33
14/5/2020 14:13 | Annoyingly missed CCL’s last 100 point short giveaway. AML does look like it’s going to pennies too. | riggerbeautz
14/5/2020 14:03 | Lol you never held anything for long anyway. | riggerbeautz
14/5/2020 13:57 | KS - great question. My strategy is simple - treat stocks like hot potatoes with a TNT filling. | bumpa33
14/5/2020 13:55 | FWIW KS I am scaled in on all the investments I want to hold long term, with the exception of AAZ for which I'm stupidly overweight,,,, all the others though I have positions up to 50% of what I'd like to have invested right now,,,, I have had to engineer that over the past month, reducing here and there, added a bit to the smaller ones when I feel they are cheap etc etc.... but, the strategy is to add more, either lower should we get a double bottom in the markets,,,, or, at a higher price should that not occur and things simply start improving.... I figure that way I am maximising my exposure whilst minimising my risk so to speak,,, it will not get me the best results either way, but, I can sleep well with it..... It's funny really as I had been instinctively scaling without knowing it,,,, until I read the 'Markets Wizzard' book and realised it is actually a strategy used by Bill Lipschutz, former head of FX trading at Salomon Bros,,, page 139,,,, well worth a read,,, thanx to Rb for suggesting I buy it..... Cheers Wan :-) Scaling :-) I must say,,, and cmb will attest,,, in my early days I was way too heavy handed, all in or all out type approach,,, it used to drive poor cmb nuts to see me throw my cash around like that :-) LOL he was right and I've learnt that :-) LOL GLA Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
14/5/2020 13:44 | Outlook The Company has over 1,000 square kilometers of land within its contract areas. As set out above and elsewhere in this results announcement, the Company has a comprehensive exploration programme underway to extensively explore this land for new deposits. This programme is yielding results with the identification of several major targets at Gedabek and Gosha and the new mineral occurrences at Avshancli and Gilar. We are also extending the mineral reserves at our existing mines. We still regard Ordubad as an untapped value opportunity and work there has been promising. The Company will also consider any suitable opportunities outside Azerbaijan which it believes can be made commercially successful. At current metal prices achieving our production guidance is expected to result in a turnover in excess of $100 million. Appreciation I would like to take this opportunity to thank the employees of Anglo Asian, our partners, the Government of Azerbaijan and our advisors for their continued support in these extraordinary times. I also wish to sincerely thank the shareholders for their continued investment and support in Anglo Asian. I look forward to sharing the successes of 2020 with you. 14/5/2020 13:17 | Bumpa I get paid monthly in Euros and convert every penny back to GBP ASAP. | brasso3
14/5/2020 13:17 | Maybe Trump meant mouthwash not bleach?https://apple | goodgrief
14/5/2020 13:16 | Brasso - I’ve been watching it, more though with an interest in the £ versus the euro rather than either against the dollar. I’m not sure which is worse, though in March the pound crashed to 1.05 against €. Euro apparently seen as safe haven compared to the pound...! | bumpa33
14/5/2020 13:15 | How do you guys weigh the balance of wishing to be invested in shares where you see significant upside, and not wanting to have to buy higher if the prices increase as they make progress - with wanting to have cash to buy if the market tanks again and undervalued shares become even more undervalued? Do you have a strategy? A % cash you stick to regardless, do you 'play it by ear'? Use your instincts? Do you attempt to nimbly trade around suspected RNS timings? Or do you just sit on your hands and ride the waves come what may? | king suarez
14/5/2020 13:13 | Bumpa. Thanks. I think I saw it somewhere a few weeks ago but could not remember where. Looks like another good hedge. | brasso3
14/5/2020 13:12 | Brasso - There’s a lot of commentary out there on that - Raoul Pal for one. | bumpa33
14/5/2020 13:07 | Anyone taken a look at the long term (25 year) monthly chart for the EUR/USD. Looks like the Euro has now broken below the long term trend. Maybe heading to parity with the USD? | brasso3
14/5/2020 13:03 | Pretty certain we’re in for another dip, though not convinced we’ll see new lows, the Fed will just come out with a few more trillion to chuck at it and Powell maybe backtrack on negative rates...! | bumpa33
14/5/2020 12:58 | Maybe pogue, but the miners got sold off with everything else in March. Will depend how severe another sell off is. | bumpa33
14/5/2020 12:55 | Bumpa surely the next time there is a drop gold will respond and miners rise? | pogue |
