14/5/2020 12:51 | I would be with you there on 4D wan should that gap get filled. whatever one might be thinking about buying now though, got a feeling in the next week or two, could be a bit cheaper. | bumpa33
14/5/2020 12:50 | Yep virtually everything mentioned on this thread last few days is heading south, I’d say markets are very nervous. For once glad to have a cash pile. | riggerbeautz
14/5/2020 12:17 | Yes Thomas, very interested. Let’s see. Will be interesting to see if we move underground there. Eventually Gedabek is likely to go underground too as we know. Then add in Avshancli and it gets more exciting. Re tailings, we were told on our trip they’d identified a possible site for the next dam. Of course if it’s also going to be used for retreatment of existing tailings it stands it will need to be larger than the existing. I’d presumed they would feed the tailings alongside fresh ore meaning that the new dam will perhaps need to be twice as big before they then possibly refill the original. (Or of course a smaller dam 2 and then 3 etc.) I suppose it is possible a small plant could be created for tailings treatment alone. After all no crushing/grinding is needed presumably. That would allow a different chemical mix to be used for that plant if needed. Would also remove the need to pump uphill if there was room near the existing dam for a treatment plant. | jbravo2
14/5/2020 12:03 | Operational review The Company has done much to improve the efficiency and safety of the Gedabek site during the previous few years. This has included major enhancements such as the construction of an electrical sub-station and connection of the site to the national power grid and the construction of a water treatment plant. The site is now well developed but the Company continues to make improvements wherever possible. New equipment including a reverse circulation drill rig and four excavators were deployed during 2019 and an on-site vehicle repair facility constructed. The gold room was also refurbished and new equipment installed. The Company is looking at alternative sites to build another dam and alternative treatment options for its tailings. | bleepy
14/5/2020 11:49 | fozzie ... indeed and I inmitated it feels like the next leg down is imminient OneDayRodders - 13 May 2020 - 08:52:39 - 19151 of 19281 Wanobi & AAZ - AAZ US markets sold off heavily into the c And I agree it's frustrating PM's are not rising simultanously, and I have been particularly dissappointed with Silver. Been dreadful when compared to the 2008 FC. But my feeling us te dam will burst soon to the upside. ODR | onedayrodders
14/5/2020 11:46 | wanobi 14 May '20 - 07:26 - 19236 of 19279 Wan .. just for clarity is that Kermit or Fozzie ? ;o) | onedayrodders
14/5/2020 11:09 | Oops, I meant Spencer Crooks (what a name for a market maker) not Gareth Evans (he is someone else) | crazycoops
14/5/2020 11:09 | Terrific that folk are selling out on the results still :-) … Gold at $1,718 v $1,480 business plan and 35% of this year already in the bag | mattjos
14/5/2020 11:08 | Normal service has resumed - gold up, AAZ down - ho hum, value will out eventually. I noticed some comment above about market makers. Some might find these two videos with Gareth Evans, ex Director of Market Making at Winterfloods, interesting. He is also doing a live webinar with PI World today at 1pm (recording available tomorrow) which presumably will add some colour to have recent events have affected MMs.Https://www.piwo | crazycoops
14/5/2020 11:08 | Thanks for your input pogue much appreciated. I agree with all you have said. As for what is good value there its anyone's guess imo. Perhaps things will be clearer with the results. I will watch closely and may buy in if i feel the price might be right. Some taking profit again at AAZ. Strange .. but it might tempt me to buy some more soon :) | jeanesy
14/5/2020 11:02 | Pogue that kind of makes sense on the oil trade and probably says why you might as well flip a coin on the futures front too. | riggerbeautz
14/5/2020 10:54 | Chairman's statement I am very pleased to report on another year of excellent performance for Anglo Asian. We continue to enjoy higher precious metal prices and the Company increased both its turnover and profits in 2019 with production broadly similar to 2018. The Company is now debt free having repaid the last instalment of its bank debt in February 2020 and has a robust balance sheet. We continue to reward shareholders from our reliable cash flow and I am delighted to declare a final dividend for the year ended 31 December 2019 of US 4.5 cents per share, payable on 30 July 2020, giving a total dividend of US 8.0 cents for 2019. Our geological exploration programme made very good progress in the year. We announced two new significant copper and gold discoveries at Avshancli and Gilar. The mineral reserves and life of our existing mines are being extended and several promising new mineral occurrences are under investigation. We are proceeding at pace to classify our exploration targets and new discoveries as mineral resources and reserves with the aim of starting their commercial exploitation as soon as possible. | bleepy
14/5/2020 10:52 | thanx pogue, cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
14/5/2020 10:49 | Wan Regards the IEA director comments there are lots of cuts in worldwide production, never mind US, but if oil price rises those cuts will be reversed, he says that, it’s not the supply side that is going to be difficult to predict it’s the demand side IMHO. Everyone is talking about a big recession, even depression, so I cannot see how supply will ever be shorter than demand for some time so we are not looking at a massive recovery in oil price. There will be surges as supply will lag demand whilst they turn on the taps and that is where to trade IMHO. As a bit of news from the front I was drinking on Zoom last night with my regular drinking buddy who is an oil trader. He tells me there is about 30% less contracts this month due to less ships sailing to ports so does not expect as big a madness this month however he even says nobody is sure how much storage is actually available, including that which is booked, which is in the end the problem right now. | pogue
14/5/2020 10:35 | Looks like being another tough day in the market especially if the US continues its last two days. One thing that still bugs me is that it is on days like these that I would be expecting all my gold stocks to hedge my portfolio to some extent but they do not appear to do so. Zero interest rates, helicopter cash and a market moving down and all my goldies are either flat or down today. | fozzie
14/5/2020 10:30 | KS Most countries outside of Europe and the US set gas prices on the local level. | brasso3
14/5/2020 10:27 | 4D - might go on to fill that GAP Bumpa,,,, I shall certainly load up big time if it does as I really am encouraged by 4D for the long term :-),,, we shall see and I shall be watching :-) GLA Holders Cheers Wan :-) free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | wanobi
14/5/2020 10:22 | Thomas11 I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. With regards to the current high gold price Bill was quite understated mentioning that it wasnt bad. So if hes making other positive comments it does make you wonder if theres going to be a reveal of some sort. | spidertricks
14/5/2020 10:20 | Thanks Brasso, so we shouldn't take much notice of the US price then? Do you know anywhere where it is possible to track local prices? | king suarez
14/5/2020 10:11 | KS US natural gas is depressed because of US shale production. Gas is almost an inconvenience in the US since oil shale came online. I recall 12 years ago that prices in the US were around $10/ MCF. | brasso3
14/5/2020 10:09 | Wan Gap filled at ORPH | brasso3
14/5/2020 10:03 | Brasso - yes, I got that figure from the last presentation, but just wondering how that tallies with the current US gas price that I can get daily quotes for? | king suarez |
