30/6/2018 11:34 | Thought all the Board and Execs were on good form yesterday. When I chatted with John Monhemius about the paper he published and presented last year on Flotation and Leaching at AAZ's plant he said he was presenting a further paper in Ottawa later this year which he had authored once again with Farhang Hedjazi regarding the company's water treatment plant and the reverse osmosis technology that is applied. He inferred that there were certain learning points that would be of interest to the international community in this field. He was particularly pleased that a company of AAZ's size was able once again to bring forward another subject matter in such a leading edge way which reflected well on AAZ's expertise. | friendzarin
30/6/2018 11:01 | Peter, I wish you luck with your investment here. I think you will do very well. | callmebwana
30/6/2018 10:45 | I also bought more here. So cheap i feel i should put a mask on buying at these prices. | peterpowell21
30/6/2018 09:37 | Thank you for all the posts to those of you who went to the AGM. All sounds very positive. Although there does appear to be a seller .. not sure why they are selling in 10K lots .. and the POG has been weak .. I decided on a small top up despite this years ISA being full. Hopefully the seller doesn't have many left and we can move up from here! | jeanesy
29/6/2018 21:51 | Agree jbravo .. that would get my vote as a sensible start to a long term sustainable dividend programme and one which leaves plenty of free cash flow to finance Ordubad next year and any further incremental capacity expansion at Gedabek. Also believe that a fair % of the divi payout would be used by many of the long term holders (with significantly lower average purchase price) to acquire more stock in the company.Exciting times ahead & very glad to hear that several made it along for their first AAZ AGM & have concluded, particularly re the management of the company, as I & others have. This seller will be gone soon enough | mattjos
29/6/2018 21:26 | I did say next year 4p. FWIW I think it’ll be a divi of 1p declared with the half year results. Prob the same again at full year (Hey Fz just got back in. The beer and cheese was fab. More than doubled this afternoons tally!) | jbravo2
29/6/2018 21:18 | Thanks for all the write ups from today, very much appreciated Fwiw a 4p divi would be covered more than 4 times by fcf according to share price angels last note | return_of_the_apeman
29/6/2018 18:57 | Friendzarin, good to meet you also. ref the Div, I don't think we should get carried away-it was stressed that they did not want a situation where they may have to reduce the div in future due to going too strong early on. I/we/the board would love 4p but imo, think it will be 2p tops. TBH I wouldn't know a good mine from bad but the bOD are keen for anyone who would like to visit. I thought this was one of my best investments ever, today confirmed it | gutterhead
29/6/2018 18:38 | Another interesting anecdote, John Sununu, who was attending ( and was George Bush's chief of staff ) mentioned that his two sons who are both apparently very cynical made the trip out to Gedabek to see the mine ( I guess to make sure dads large holding was a good investment) and came home gushing with praise for the mine and very impressed with everything except the local food ! | catsick
29/6/2018 18:10 | Jbravo2. Your sounding like a ramper and I love it :) I expected 2p as a start. Talk of 4p next year and I'll be extremely happy. Need to move this year's ISA allowance asap. | jaspoland
29/6/2018 18:02 | 4p next year is conservative | jbravo2
29/6/2018 17:51 | I believe that the academic link that Stephen referred to was some group attached to one of the big london museums who have some sort of geological group set up, the idea was to try and use these resources to do some work connecting the dots together to get a better picture of how all the separate deposits they are mining are linked, at both gedabek and ordubad they could really be mining one larger system which would obviously be great news for the mine life . | catsick
29/6/2018 17:48 | Imagine if the divi was 4p... some people who bought at the bottom will be making a 100% divi every year... | cyberbub
29/6/2018 17:37 | Had a good conversations today with Susie from St Brides and had a brief discussion with John Meyer and Sergei from S P Angel. Sergie is visiting the Gedabek site for two days next week and it is to be hoped we might see some further and a more tangible broker note from SPA in due course. | friendzarin
29/6/2018 17:22 | gh... good to meet you today. Sthephen made several points about developing his team. Others may recall more than I. Firstly he was developing his current team by sending them to international forums etc for development and to help broaden their perspective. Secondly he said it was his intention to seek to employ a qualified UK geologist who would report into the team led by an Azer national which would be a vote of confidence and recognition of the expertise he has in the local team. | friendzarin
29/6/2018 17:04 | I got part of a conversation where Stephen Westhead mentioned bringing in some more academia/intellect to help with exploration-can anyone elaborate pls? | gutterhead
29/6/2018 17:01 | Thanks all who for feedback on AGM; especially Catsick and Gutterhead for such significant news. Very good news indeed: Resource/Mine-life extension + JORC; crusher live and dividend policy looking to be game changer: "they want the div level to be big AND sustainable." If this can be achieved, how can AAZ be deemed other than a highly successful company that rewards its longer term investors? Yet is priced for a measly £50-mn cap; =16 months EBITDA. With the crusher operational, suggests the Flotation Plant is processing its feed and should have a full Q3 production; good in itself and investors can more easily get a handle on performance from the Q3 results. Ahh...you too JBravo - just about to read your post. | 2sporrans
29/6/2018 17:01 | So much to love from the AGM. Crusher active. Currently processing in parallel. Gedabek resource hoped for around end of Q3 Results from Gadir drilling in Q4. Debt neutral now. On target for production. Drilling going on galore. I think it was 5 rigs above ground and 4 under ground. Pockets of bonanza grade have been found as mentioned by others. Wider prospects are truly exciting. Close to signing contract on heli geo phys thing. Dividend so close we can touch and will be juicy. Best AGM I've been to and I've been going for a few years | jbravo2
29/6/2018 16:52 | BLEEPY Could be, but something is holding the price back. Also the fact that it seems to be a regular 10,000 pounds. | peterpowell21
29/6/2018 16:47 | There is a seller and the company has a good idea of the volume in total and on that basis I suspect a good percentage has already been placed. They know the agent placing the shares but as of yet due to country of origin they have been unable to confirm the seller or have them follow the rules of disclosure. We just have to suck it in for a while I think and this is a genuine but volume limited buying opportunity. I’m neither buying or selling at the moment but hope this provides something of a backdrop for others. DYOR and view this post in that context. | friendzarin
29/6/2018 16:47 | Thank you Mattjos | peterpowell21
29/6/2018 16:46 | Sells might well be bed n isa. I did some a while back and they were reported as sells. | bleepy
29/6/2018 16:43 | Bonanza grades... that'll help the PR! | goodgrief
29/6/2018 16:38 | Singer have been a seller pretty much since they came onto the order book so, am assuming they have a line of stock to get rid of. Thanks catsick, I have Ordubad pencilled in for starting 15-18 months time .. plenty to go at in/around Gedbek, Gadir and Ugur for now just on what we know today let alone exploration finds | mattjos
29/6/2018 16:37 | Thanks all who attended and especially those guys feeding us the info. 100g/tonne of gold, no wonders the exploration team have been incentived with a months salary bonus. | bleepy |
