Very disappointing.

And yet

The volume was pretty small

A few sell the news and buy back traders could have been responsible.

But the oil is there, and the drill is turning.

And something unexpected might appear suddenly.......

Five weeks ago this board was drowning in people saying this couldn't be achieved. The spud today is an exceptional achievement in that timescale. In my opinion this represents one of the best risk v reward drills on AIM this year owing to the multiple target zones.

Now that David Sefton and James Berwick are on site, the 64 day drilling (with the improved location and modified drilling plan) should now proceed with renewed expectation of success. Low market cap. Directors incentives are structured in such a way that oil success and higher share price are tied together.
Re-spud imminent . . . like this week!

NICE.

The early bird and all that.

Current licence runs until next year.

Proposal is to replace it with a new license.

This has been recommend by the national oil company.

Proposed new license has same terms in respect of AAOG(56%) but a local integrated oil company would get a share from the national oil company.

The national oil company is skint, the new shareholder is owned by a local big wig,
AAOG have stated that the new shareholder is sufficiently well funded to contribute.

I suspect that any new sites will involve this company. AAOG bring expertise and finance.

The hugely impressive response to the thief zone will not have gone unnoticed.

Enhances greatly the attractiveness of AAOG to the locals for future opportunities.

Looks like it will be spuds for dinner tomorrow?

RNS Tuesday or Wednesday probably ?

News on the license would be a big bonus.

A bit of pressure on the buy side could work wonders here.

Speed shoe installed and cellar is complete. CEO on site. No mistakes this time.
Check out the pictures on twitter.

They are not taking any chances of rig drill failure.
Do not forget it is safety first and look after the drill crew. They are the finders and know where to look.

Drill then casing for the next two weeks. Keep an eye on the tweets, this will rocket once oil is found.
R1/R2, Mengo then Djeno.

If Vanji finally comes in, then it will be an extra bumper pay day for all concerned.
No doubt the trolls will be out next casting doubts, as they will want in at lower share price levels.

Sit tight and enjoy the journey.

GLA.

Wan,

The way I see it, first of potentially 4 zones highly likely to come in. The next 2 zones are where the money will be multiplied or lost. There are varying levels of risk at each interval of this well.

Here's a quick overview of the 4 targets;

1) R1/R2: Currently producing small amounts of oil (40bopd?), AAOG engineers expect atleast 120bopd when a downhole pump is installed. 7.9mmbbls of P90 reserves in this interval.

2) Mengo Sands: Tight Oil discovery, 8.1mmbbls Gross Contingent Resource.

3) Djeno Sands: 58.4mmbbls exploration target. This interval could be transformational and company-making if it is present and oil-bearing. Djeno wells a little further offshore flow between 2,500-5,000bopd. This interval is the main exploration attraction of this well.

4) Vanji: Deeper possible exploration target, but a decision on it will depend on outcome of the Djeno target.

They will also benefit from a rising oilprice with their production. Every little helps.

Respud nextweek.

Thank for the reply. I'm in quite big on this one so hoping for a break back above 12p. Any loss is covered by gains on shell and bp which seem pretty strong at the moment. I'm just hoping for that icing on the cake

MagicMayhem, theres a lot less confidence in the drill. Investors etc burnt on the last drill.
Plus the whole sector is not producing anything positive, MATD PANR ECHO AAOG the list goes on and on.
