Maybe because of the next section that you omitted?

The Pilot Plant is also targeted to produce a minimum of 2 400 tpa of saleable concentrate for glass-ceramics off-takers. To date, the Company has sent high purity petalite concentrate produced off-site to several potential customers and discussions to conclude an initial sale of lithium product are advanced. The Company believes that the concentrate is also potentially suitable as feedstock for lithium refineries producing lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide for the battery manufacturing industry.

Why are they going on about EVs? The lithium is only suitable for ceramics industry. They tell you in the results. Lower purity, lower prices. to produce a minimum of 2 400 tpa of saleable concentrate for glass-ceramics off-takers. "And whether or not electric vehicles are ultimately powered from burning coal or harnessing solar and wind, they'll all still need lithium.

China already has more electric vehicles than anywhere else, and a combination of subsidy, soft coercion, price competition, and genuine consumer satisfaction look set to keep the market there buoyant.

So don't count lithium out quite yet. In fact, the current low prices could well represent the last major opportunity to buy on the dip before the permanent re-rating that will arrive when petrol vehicles are phased out for good."

"In the USA, Bradda Head (2.5p) has a swathe of projects, in Europe, European Metals Holdings (33.5p) is well positioned in Central Europe, while Savannah Resources (3.4p) has a major project out west in Portugal. And in Africa, Kodal Minerals (0.45p) , Atlantic Lithium (24.8p), and Andrada Mining (5.8p) all have sizeable assets.

What's more, many of these companies are either in, or close to, production, meaning that much of the risk that's traditionally associated with earlier stage mining companies has now been priced out.

So, they have much to recommend them, both individually, and as a group. First off, they've all suffered downward pressure on their share prices because of the weaker lithium price.

And that pressure won't be around forever. Second – although it may look bad in lithium mining at the moment, it's a lot worse in other parts of the mining sector."

I agree with that statement, but the tin only supports the operation, if the prices stay at a certain level, if they don't we will be running at a loss?

I don't think any of the analysts can make their mind up about the forward price of lithium. Some say the price will rise, others say it will fall. So now a lot of deals are falling through as the buyers want to price in a pessimistic view.
A lot of pure lithium miners will be running at a loss, so how long they survive depends how much cash they have. A lot of mines won't be built due to the numbers not working out. Plus many countries now insist on processing in-ciuntry instead of exporting the intermediates.
At least here the tin supports the whole operation. The lithium always was virtually a freebie.

There are sodium batteries too.
They all have issues, like any pioneering technology.

So they will need supplies of lithium, it seems even if it goes to solid state batteries, eventually, is that correct?

They do both contain lithium though.

Need lithium.

Ah you might be right 300tuk.
Lithium needed....metallic lithium.

'Materials. The cell chemistry of all-solid state cells is in general the same as of liquid electrolyte cells. Anode materials comprise carbon, titanates, Li-alloys and metallic lithium; cathode materials are Li-based oxides (LCO, NCA), and phosphates (LFP), vanadium oxide [51] and future microstructural 5 V materials.'

To be fair I did miss the posts yesterday and I think they are very useful.
If it is a direct competitor we might have to think again about lithium uses.
I did hear even before I got in here, that was it, platinum that had raised fresh interest?
Anyway, I would have to get my head round these things before I can draw a conclusion.
Funnily enough I had used a Toyota video for another share SEE and thought for a minute 300tuk was referencing that.
Looking at one of the videos cursorily, they still have problems with solid state ...high costs for solid state batteries and a conductor needed, life expectancy and longevity I seem to remember.
Anyway can't bury head in sand will do a bit of research.

I tell you what, I wonder if we are due a turn, when you look at the leader board there are a couple of mining companies in there .

Better times ahead we hope!

From Toyota
"The brand’s not only made in-roads with solid-state technology. It also outlined a new range of advanced liquid-electrolyte batteries. With these, it’s been able to improve performance, range and fast charging – as well as lower weight and improve aerodynamics. Named Performance, Popularisation and High-performance, all Toyota's new batteries use different chemistries, but the latter two use a new bipolar battery structure (see pictured) to move the needle on all the relevant metrics.

To give context, it reckons the lithium-ion based Performance battery will reduce production costs of the all-electric bZ4x SUV by 20 per cent, increase range to 497 miles (up from 317) and reduce the rapid charging time to less than 20 minutes..."

Still a big place for lithium, especially if the early solid state batteries rely on cobalt. Plus they may also rely on solid lithium as the anode, so still lots of lithium needed. Plus how recyclable is lithium in solid state batteries?
Not an easy solution, but lithium is here to stay for years.

Solid state batteries for vehicles are really still in the early r&d stage. Still highly expensive and difficult to mass produce.
A lot of car companies are saying 2030 onwards to begin to make a mark after trialling in high value cars from around 2026.
Then years until properly mass produced

Looks to me like it’s turning here, bouncing off the 200dma on rising volume. Clearly buyers like this zone.
I expect 7p will be retested in due course.

I think that mining will come back....it's just macro that is causing the drift.
Lots of companies similar to this suffering in the last little while.
Though that sounds similar to 3ootuks post, things don't remain the same for long.
When the narrative changes the shares will.

Where ATM are currently in the mining zone, IE processing Tin, Lithium to come with potential other resources, I am surprised that more people aren't all over this?

Too many small miners with a potential resource they can't exploit because they don't have the resources to build a plant or feed one, so this gets lost in the dross even though they have a processing plant and could build another if necessary.

Brandberg West is currently the only Namibian exploration licence within the Company's portfolio. The project was acquired for its significant tin and tungsten mineralisation in line with the Company's vision to become a tier-one multi-tech-metal producer. The license has multiple documented mineral occurrences that indicate the presence of a large-scale mineral system including known concentrations of tin, tungsten, and copper. The potential production of tungsten will increase the number of minerals in the portfolio
