That may be the case but some big sells are going through this morning.

I sold before posting the article with a view to maybe getting back in at a later stage.

personally i doubt the miners have not done their homework for the competition (as well as tesla etc), and you always get these stories in papers, about cures for this and that, cars that run on water etc.

i'm sure at some point there will be competing battery technologies out there but for now the roll out seems to be lithium.

This is surely a major threat to Lithium producers like ATM?

Solid state car batteries that don't need lithium.

Toyota says it has made a technological breakthrough that will allow it to halve the weight, size and cost of batteries, in what could herald a major advance for electric vehicles.

The world’s second largest carmaker was already pursuing a plan to roll out cars with advanced solid-state batteries, which offer benefits compared with liquid-based batteries, by 2025.

The thing about Barclays worries me. We all know their track record when it comes to ethics. They will probably advise us to select the partner that offers them the biggest brown envelope.

To my mind, Andrada are simply impossible to put a metric based valuation on currently. If the lithium venture has a $1bn implied valuation come September, which based on other lithium deals is not impossible. Who knows where the share price will open. Even at a 500m valuation that's still multiples of the current share price I want to see where that process takes us to before I settle on a target. Just hope we continue the nice uptrend for the next few months in anticipation.
A bit strange that we have not had the results from Spodumene Hill. I wonder if the bidders have had early sights of the results?

We believe the market continues to underappreciate the long-term potential of Uis, especially in comparison to lithium peers and given its near-term profitability with £12m EBITDA in FY Feb’24E (H&Pe). Based on a US$1,200/t petalite price assumption we derive a DCF-based, risked valuation for ATM of 35 GBp per share, implying +314% upside."
