Any idea whats happening today? 2,000,000 share bought but no increase in price? Seems odd unless I'm missing something.

Yes, nice rise, goliard, but then so many stocks have recovered strongly this past few weeks. I suspect it's more to do with this general market recovery and the recent good figures, but you never know. Either way, I'm going to hang on in there for a while longer.

30% rise in six weeks. I'm tempted to take profits here but I'm wondering if there is any more news out there about a bid? Anyone else watching these?

It is very possible that the takeover 'approach' rumour came before the approach was made and could well be true.

Interesting one this.

It looks like a bid may be on the cards but the company isnt valued high enough for institutions to get invlolved and Director Nashs' purchase makes the rumour look false... but... if he had already announced his intention to the board or someone else then should be allowed.

If there was no approach then you would expect a denial but instead 'the company refused to comment'.

I'm buying some anyway. Little downside and potential 50% gain if more rumours are out.

It's rumoured that West Private Equity have approached Care UK with a bid of up to 200p a share for the company.

Citywire are carrying stories of a supposed 'bid' in their morning Press roundup and their lunchtime market report (cited as reason for 12.5p uptick), but no RNS from the company except to say that Director Nash has stepped in to buy 75000! Can they do that?!

there seems to be so much downward pressure on this share and as far as the actual business itself is concerned! I am involved in a business which is a direct competitor to one of cuks areas and I know that we beat them everytime as far as service is concerned. This alone would not give me the inclination to want to invest in them at the moment. I think that they have probs with cash as well but of course all of this is only my opinion. If I felt a turn around for cuk was on the cards I would be one of the first to dive in.

Anyone know the reason for the big fall today.

The PE is now 14, compared to Nestor who are corrently at 24.
Am I wrong to use Nestor as a comparison, if not why such a differance.

Or an error? Identical trade went through yesterday with a different trade id number attached. Still a big order - over £2.4million.
