Hmmmmm! Big volume spike and a bit of a fall today. Profit-taking after a strong run, or is there more to it than that?

Just in case any CUK holders/traders don't realise.....it will be going on to the SETSMM trading system on Monday week (11th July). IMO that will mean wider spreads a lot of the time, plus worse liquidity - we'll soon see!

Looks like there may well be some Big Govt contracts awarded to CUK over the coming months. Very undervalued at current price. Can`t see this lasting much longer

Tipped or not, the price should be at least double curent levels. I am expecting considerable interest in this company in the coming weeks.

Through £4 barrier, some long overdue interest at last. can see this moving sharply higher over the coming months. Great Growth Stock IMO.

Well I have managed to achieve mine so far, DJ, over the period since I 'retired' in Feb 1998 which equates to around 15% per annum compound. Yours is probably unrealistic; if you look at the effect of compounding over a period, at 50% p.a. you would probably end up owning the nation's GDP within your lifetime! You can dream, but............!

8-)

My target is 50% a year, jeff, but for some reason I never seem to make it (except in the Great Boom of 1999-2000). I usually blame the marketmakers.

LOL, DJ, but at least it provoked a more thoughtful and interesting post from you!

I understand your squeamishness about the jargon, but the reality is that in the New Labour world, whole sectors which were previously regarded as 'public services' are being shifted into the private sector (often with the same staff). Capita have built an empire out of it; CapGemini and others are climbing on board fast; even the BBC has most of its programmes made by independent companies which are, in reality, just former employees freelancing! CUK are already in areas such as the mental health and old people's 'markets', so in that context no need to get too sensitive about fostering - as long as they're doing it right!

I've held since 2000, and if it hits your 'target' will have met the minimum criteria for my core portfolio of doubling every 5 years. In such an acquisition-driven company, the goalposts keep moving so whether that represents 'full value', we shall have to see at the time.

Regards, Ian
