Hectic opening on Nasdaq. A lot of trading activity and a rising price.

O/T. We're invested in the wrong pharma! 😆. REDX has taken off like a rocket to the Moon this morning following news of it's licensing deal with AstraZeneca for a very early stage, pre clinical, treatment. Ah well.

Were those 30 trials "in operation or planned", sidam, all gene based therapies, or a mixture of gene and non gene based? tia.

PS I'm also surprised by that number; it's a lot more than I expected.

I considered the EB teach-in very informative. It didn’t of course include any detail on AP101, but the background on treatment and the attitude of the possible regulatory background made me marginally more optimistic on the outcome. If that is positive, I got the impression that gene therapy would not lead to the demise of the product as wound treatment would still be needed. What did surprise me was the number of trials that were in operation or planned. Thirty was the number mentioned.

Big increase in volume today on Nasdaq! Lots of trades in the run up to the close on Nasdaq.

A massive trade of 260k shares was reported yesterday after the market had closed. Timed @ 10:09:30 yesterday morning. Trade was done @ the 177p asking price. Value was £460.20k. I should imagine that such a very large trade was worked through the market and done in smaller tranches, the 177p being the average price of those individual tranches.

Following Bronxville's buy yesterday I had a small £1k top up this morning. Buying price 175.8p. Showing as a sell.

I consider that the catalyst for a move could be the Q2 numbers due 6 August. I am looking for higher revenues and a substantial reduction in G & A expense. That could lead to analysts raising their estimates of the value of the current approved products.

I believe the volume on Nasdaq records the volume in the ADS's, so digadee your 300k is likely to be correct.

Meanwhile Bronxville on the lse says he bought some today on the back of the increased volume. Probably wise to follow his example! Here's his post on the lse today.

I notice the volume today on the nasdaq as 60000, pardon my ignorence but is that 60000 x 5 in actual number of shares traded ie 300000?
