greying this is a belter of a deal!! The 'development' costs should really be f'all so what we get back is $40 MM for our equity swap. , assuming 'achievable' production profiles based upon supposed reserves.
In the circumstances this is f'ing brilliant!!
I would be disappointed if fellow investors are not equally ecstatic with this news!

I concur. It is not every day a company gets a transformational RNS like the one AEX just got. The deal values us at 254M GBP and the MCAP is 106MGBP

150% upside from here.

I think we are beginning to see a huge re-rate. I would expect the 52 week high of 5.2p be met either today or certainly over the next few sessions.

Very happy with that. A free carried 25% slice of a huge asset with a realistic chance of making it into production. No more dilution to fund this project. Bit bittersweet to see such a huge slice gone but if we had to massively dilute to fund it then we'd have ended up in a worst spot.

Well, I was completely wrong, when I doubted that AEX would come up with significant news at the AGM!!

My apologies for doubting those of you who suggested it.

This looks a good deal. Giving over operatorship and 66% of their interest, in exchange for enough carry to see some real production starting up. As DD says, it will disappoint many but it will get things moving.

One interesting question that arises is just what does the "Ruvima PSA" consist of? Are the negotiations on the licences still ongoing, or does this deal suggest they are essentially complete?

Not sure how to calculate the true value of this.
Zubair et all can push this development through far more effectively than AEEX.
$5M for all the work and hassle that has been expended to date?
A carry of $35M; big saving, but how does it relate to potential future returns.

Irked at the $5M. Hope it is spent wisely and not frittered away on hot air pie in the sky adventures.

They keep 25% and get a decent free carry + some cash too. Don’t think it could’ve been much better to be honest. This will give them opportunity to develop Nyuni too which is a great result. Finally we achieved what we’ve been waiting for for 10 years with no other interest in Ruvuma? Some faith returned today.

I'm not worrying at all mate.
I've mentally written these off some time ago.
I agree hopefully chairman's statement issued at AGM time.
Some companies issue this at 07.00 day of AGM some at the time of AGM.
Anyways best of luck all.
Ironically I'd forgotten (or got confused ahem!) about dates of other AGM I would have liked to go to have gone to today which I thought was tomorrow but is in fact today so am interested to hear feed-back on that as well lol!!

Edgar doesn't stop an 'operational' update re 'work' done ytd, kn1 status plus info about rig?

I'll be disappointed if we don't get anything along those lines today, but since the AGM hasn't started yet, it's probably a little premature to be worrying.

In a way no news on AGM day is reassuring!! Means the Company really are not managing news/us and it is out of their hands with the Tz authorities and other parties.
