CP not bad news at all.
I was (effectively) offered a nice job by coincidence the next day as it was something I could do with my eyes closed.
However I am going to resist and go for something I enjoy which really is something I should have done on last redundancy round, as if I do not do it this time, I never will!!
Life flies by too quickly!!

Oh god. Another takeover rumour.
Agree with dunderheed. If anything, Zubair will low ball us sooner or later.

Share price is holding up well again I see? Funny when in 'play'.
I've got a 'theory' on this which to be honest, whilst far fetched, isn't anymore so than some of the valuations I've seen mooted around?
Did the zubs come along, see relatively good assets and a 'mgt' team completely out of their depth (laughingly so?).
They engage with said management supporting them and buying up a significant strategic investment which allows them to put eyes and ears on board.
Then let the 'mgt' continue, as was before, with messages of support however without actually pony'ing up money.
They keep good eyes on the assets knowing Jay et al simply don't have the 'know how' to efficiently progress, then can start to snap up the assets as cheaply as taking over the company on the cheap, simply because no other operators are willing to let this motley crue operate and zub will support the mgt whispering in their ears "don't worry give us some direct equity in the assets cheaply and you guys can operate because we all know the 'true value' that the market has missed and this is the best way of crystallising this"!!
Massaging the egos of management whilst taking over by stealth eventually helping every one by a low ball offer when the 'mgt' have mucked things up again.
I laugh when I'm questioned over on lse about a low ball farm in offer as this has to take into account the risks of possible additional further costs post drill. Then people retort "why oh why, they only need one well to produce a gazillion mcf!!"
Just like kn1 eh lol!
I know all a bit mental conspiracy theory above but not that far fetched!!
Don't forget all imho and as always dyor of course!!
Best of luck all.

Current fully risked NAV must be around the $500 Million mark I would guess.

Get over, not my style at all dunder. It was posted by another LSE poster on more than one LSE BB.

I take every ones comments with a pinch of salt myself and your hat may or may not be safe ;)

Ah ok cp so it came from you?
If it came from 'Malcy' I'd take that with a very big dose of salt (ahem I'll get me hat!).

Yes this is my point. I'd like to know where they originated from because they often get referred to?
They could be from a genuine.source but from what I think extremely unlikely, however to be clear, I have been known to have made a mistake once before!!

dunderheed

lol grey, it came from a poster who I have known for some time and has good city connections, no idea if their is any truth in it but when coupled with Malcy's comments and then the sudden RNS regarding the Zubairs, it is as plausible as any other theory I have seen touted.

I can't be bothered to go over the LSE, so could someone fill me in on the "Statoil rumours" - are about to offer 10p a share? Which would explain why the share price is down today!
