Pete as I test I won't post for one month, I would assume the share will be considerably lower than the beginning of the month when I was still posting. I call it a test to show my posting has no impact on the overriding market assumption this is on a downward spiral

You are the one making the assertion ronny boy - you are the one that needs to validate it..... I do not know where they got the "rumour" from but nor I am the one suggesting that it has been accepted "as fact"

So who staretd it? How long a standing does he have as a poster? Where did he or anyone else suggest that it was fact....?

Struggling eh? No surprise there.

By the way how is johnsmith1985?

I need say nothing else.

"The stat oil rumours were started by a new poster on lse and have oddly been picked up as fact"

No they were not, they were from a very long standing and well respected poster and have never been picked up "as fact".

But true to form you never seem to let facts get in te way fo a good story eh Ronny?

Another excellent day for aex. I'm a little surprised considering they are in 'play' with loads of suitors queing up, according to Lse board.
I'm on self imposed exile over 'there' and have been biting my lip about these 'Statoil' rumours.
Can anyone explain to me where they originated or was it simply 'another' suggestion that suddenly because an LSE free bb fact*?
All imho and please dyor!

yes the EPS is the start and will be part of the full field development needed to supply gas for the 25 year licence.

slide 9

. io oil & gas consulting (Baker Hughes, GE Company and McDermott joint venture) has provided independent validation of the EPS development programme

• EPS envisages success at NT3 and some remediation work at NT1 and NT2 with pipeline to Madimba gas plant

• Longer term FFD proposed to be self funded from cashflow generated by production

Yes I always liked the cng scenario. I referred to this what a couple of years ago now (?!) When referring yo gas bottles andcfirget I was told off by some techie on here lol! It's interest g how people think if things in their mind's eye.
Anyway I digress I based that suggestion on economics I'd seen for a possible small (lol, 2tcf) possible project in west Indies as the company at the time had missed the lng project trains.
I was really surprised at how profitable this potential project was.

It's a 25 year development licence which has been applied for. NT-3 is happening regardless...Positive discussions are ongoing we were informed 3 months ago.

gerry, the other thing to take into account regards the EPS when AEX first applied was their consideration towards developing (Compressed Natural Gas) which no doubt needed no further wells than the two already drilled.

"The Plan takes into account several options for gas monetisation including Compressed Natural Gas, Gas to Power and directly connecting the gas produced from the Ntorya field to the Madimba Plant in South Eastern Tanzania via an approximately 35 km spur line. The Company has applied for a staged development of the field to allow for an early production system with existing wells and a programme that drills further development wells based on demand."

I'm not clear there's any contradiction here. There's clearly a possible EPS based on 2 wells, but NT3 is clearly of great importance as an appraisal well in order to help pin down the resource size more clearly. That's obviously of considerable importance to both AEX and to TPDC, who need to consider future gas supply.

Whether or not the initial development plan is for connecting two existing wells, getting NT3 drilled is going to be a priority.

And I'd go further than that - perhaps not in the immediate scheduling terms - but there is clearly considerable significance to both sides in getting further explo wells drilled on the rest of the acreage in Ruvuma, and I would think any discussions on the remainder of the Ruvuma licences (outside of the Ntorya appraisal/development licence) are going to include that.

from RNS (Submission of Ntorya Development Plan)

"The Company has applied for a staged development of the field to allow for an early production system with existing wells and a programme that drills further development wells based on demand."

"The Development Plan is now subject to review by the Tanzanian authorities and the Company will provide an update on this and the timing for spudding the Ntorya-3 well during Q4 2017"

yes, that seems to be the case when AEX first applied, but after being reviewed by the Tanzanian authorities it appears they have asked that the EPS consists of a 3rd well and also be linked directly to the Madimba Gas Plant, hence Aminex's announcement 08 January 2018 and their commitment to drill the NT-3 well as soon as operationally possible.

then 05 February 2018 came the all important CPR where the Ntorya Pmean GIIP: increased to 1.87 TCF and they then further announced

"In addition, the Company is very encouraged by io's study, which indicates, based on reasonable assumptions, that Ntorya could be developed with three wells, two of which have already been drilled and tested. The io study indicates that an early production system, which will limit upfront capital expenditure and enable cash-flow funded further development, is a realistic and achievable proposition. Further detail of the development plan will be made available in due course."
