21/10/2017 18:11 | Is it possible they could sign the development license at the conference? To highlight that Tanzania is moving forward with onshore gas production into the pipeline and to demonstrate to the World that Tanzania is open for external investment into the O&G industry? We've seen in the past where senior ministers have signed agreements at events. | haggismchaggis
21/10/2017 13:15 | It will be interesting for another reason - the Americans are there. I wondered how long it would take them to wake up to the Chinese colonisation of Africa. It could result on them going on a spending spree.. | shabbadabbadoo2
21/10/2017 08:41 | yes LFDKMP, I like the sound of that, as Jay is talking on (Developments in Tanzania)a nice signed new development licence early in the week would definitely go down well. Thursday 26th October 2017 09:00 KEYNOTE ADDRESS: INCREASING VALUE ACROSS THE VALUE CHAIN: LEVERAGING NEW TECHNOLOGIES & DIGITAL SOLUTIONS Ado Oseragbaje, President & Chief Executive Officer, Sub-Saharan Africa, Baker Hughes, a GE Oil & Gas Company, Nigeria -------------------- Developments in Tanzania: A New Story Jay Bhattacherjee, Chief Executive Officer, Aminex, United Kingdom | blackgold00
21/10/2017 07:33 | Anyone noticed the chat over on lse about the conference taking place next week in Cape Town? According to the chat, in attendance amongst others are the U S Secretary of Energy, Tanzania Minister for Energy, CEO Sub Sahara Africa Baker Hughes who will all be rubbing shoulders with our Jay Bhattacherjee. Apparently Jay is a speaker on Day 4. Next week a good week for development licence signing and/or an RNS ? | lfdkmp
20/10/2017 21:39 | Congratulations Gerry on being top of the top posts. Its as close as you can get to a nobel prize round here :-) | skinwalker
20/10/2017 13:33 | But if the demand is increasing, then that would have been known previously, and presumably the guidance given by Wentworth would have included it? | shabbadabbadoo2
20/10/2017 13:20 | KN-1 offline for 3 months? No. The interims said: The Company has prepared a programme to re-enter the Kiliwani North-1 well to gather downhole data later in the year and shareholders will be advised accordingly.I wouldn't read that as being after the event. And there was no suggestion of a current shut in in the interims, 3 weeks ago. What is happening is that demand is slowly increasing. No surprise.Peter | greyingsurfer
20/10/2017 13:05 | So KN-1 has been offline for over three months? | bunbooster2
20/10/2017 11:38 | Looks like it - looking at the Wentworth figures would suggest the current production is above the normal, as they are at their guidance average already and are producing an extra 19 mmscf/d, which is very close to the KN-1 production. | shabbadabbadoo2
20/10/2017 11:26 | KN-1 now offline for investigation/remedi | warbaby43
20/10/2017 11:12 | Wonder where the extra demand is coming from. New cement plant should be 7 mmcfd about now. | bunbooster2
19/10/2017 21:36 | Ok, but that hasn't been announced has it? That's your speculation. | bunbooster2
19/10/2017 16:15 | Bun, the government will pay for the Ntorya link to the big pipeline, we'll get paid at the wellhead the same as at Kiliwani. As shown by the big pipeline construction, the government will get it done quickly because the gas availability is the driver for industry. | haggismchaggis
19/10/2017 08:16 | Oman has links going back to the slavery days and was the colonial power in Zanzibar until the rebellion there in 1963. | warbaby43
19/10/2017 07:58 | "Ntorya needs to be linked into infrastructure which will cost a lot." USA I know and many factors involved but just for a guide "Costs associated with pipeline construction depend on many factors. – the cost per mile increases with the pipe size. construction on land using a 12-inch pipeline costs about $300,000 per mile while using a 42-inch pipeline costs almost $1.5 million per mile." | blackgold00
19/10/2017 06:53 | You'd think after posting childish rubbish for 10 years haggismchaggis would stop. Oh they did as sueyou1. Cancel that. "Who still says my predictions are wrong? Who has me on ignore because they don't believe my predictions?" Lol. | gerryjames
19/10/2017 03:01 | Kev - Premature ejaculation isn't a joking matter. Please remember to be kind and sensitive while posting on this board. Disabilities aren't funny! Haggis - I suppose the key thing there is when Ntorya comes online. WRL and Orca can meet demand straight away. Ntorya needs to be linked into infrastructure which will cost a lot. | bunbooster2
18/10/2017 17:25 | I don't suffer with premature ejaculation but my doctor assures me it's coming very soon. | kevjones2
18/10/2017 17:20 | Bun, the near term demand won't be covered by WRL and ORCA, that's not how the government work. Once Ntorya is connected to the main pipeline (H1 2018?), AEX will also supply gas into the pipeline. The government will share the demand between AEX, WRL and ORCA. This is fair to all gas suppliers, whilst reducing the risk to the government. | haggismchaggis
18/10/2017 12:04 | You need to look at the FUM board! | joestalin |
