"The Company is currently in discussions with a substantial financial group which has indicated a willingness in principle to make loan finance available to Aminex which will allow the Company to pay down its existing loan obligations and continue to develop its Tanzanian licences, especially the Ruvuma PSA. While there can be no certainty that these discussions will conclude satisfactorily, the Board of the Company has a reasonable expectation that an initial part of such a facility would be available prior to the commencement of production and will not be conditional on signature of the GSA in Tanzania or commencement of production."

I would have thought that the pretty clear implication of that was that the facility was not only not dependent on the GSA or production but that its formal announcement could reasonably be expected to pre-date the GSA and KN-1 production.

With regard to your view of the great prize, I could not agree more but given rig lead times and the logistical challenges of southern Tanzania, progress soon really is required.

You make a good point but with too much emphasis, if I may say so.

I really don't think anything but funding matters. Both for solvency / balance sheet reasons as well as for advancing the plans of the company.

I accept that I am stating the obvious.

I also don't think you can read anything concerning into the absence of news on the loan / financing front. If you were the company, would you want to enter into what might be another quite punitive loan agreement arrived at in the absence of any steady income and with you stretched over a barrel? Or would you rather wait for the GSA and negotiate from a stronger position of an income stream confirmed?

I think it is obvious, and has been for some time, that the company have no idea when the GSA will be signed. They are looking for signs and announcements from Tanzania like us!

My assessment is that it is imminent. That is what the company also believe. (Don't laugh)

On that basis, I am glad that they have not progressed to a new loan deal prior to the GSA when the GSA itself will open up funding options not currently available.

Hang in there. I believe we are nearly there.

(Lets just believe Jay B for a minute. And assume that Ntorya 2 appraises / finds 1 TCF of gas in February 2016, just as the Tanzanians open new power stations and need more power. That's the immediate prize and I don't want to miss it! Then we have Ntorya 3 and the other drill targets. Then we have money to pursue offshore Nyuni seismic)

If I am wrong I am badly wrong because I really have put my money where my mouth is.

While a GSA may be a given to arrive at some stage, what is concerning me more is the absence of any news of the funding outlined in the RNS of 4th June along with an indication that TPDC have extended the deadline for the Appraisal Licence drilling obligation.

For them to be able to say what they did in that RNS, negotiations with their "major financial institution" must, at that stage, have been well advanced. Now, three and a half months later to have heard nothing further other than discussions were continuing is, to say the least, a little concerning.

Exactly three years ago Detmer the Delusional's $15m loan was imminently expected and we all know what happened to that and to him.

Shrews are quite tiny creatures bun. Large surface area, small body mass;result, lots of heat loss; solution eat lots of food but don't run about too much between naps. So, putting that together means that a shrew has to shrewdly consider where he will be going and what he will be doing before he even gets out of bed each day.Over eons of time evolution that has turned shrews into very shrewd cookies indeed!

Can anything be inferred from the fact that the share price is currently 3.7% down regarding the imminence of the GSA?

Alternatively, could post 53855 have spooked the market?

Another year, another dollar. I was laughed at for saying Q4 2015 for the GSA, who's laughing now? My current thought is now Q1 2016 as I don't see the demand being available prior to that.

"Petroleum Economist Recognises Victoria Oil and Gas as Energy Company of the Year (Small Cap)

Victoria Oil and Gas (AIM: VOG), a gas utility company with operations in the industrial port city of Douala in Cameroon, is pleased to announce its success at the 2015 Petroleum Economist Awards, held on 17th September 2015 in London.

VOG won the "Energy Company of the Year (Small Cap)" award.

VOG has been one of the few companies to successfully monetise gas in sub-Sahara Africa by developing the Logbaba gas field in Douala, Cameroon......"

There's always next year lads.

I have to laugh at the whole 'imminent' meaning debate. Notwithstanding the fact that only a delusional moron would try to state it means something other than 'on the cusp', what about the previous 22 months of guarantess/promises etc that the GSA was just about to be signed?

Where from?

Answers on a postcard.

Mtwara, where it says in the article - i.e. from M&P ramping up as the connections are made.

Good to see it's all going smoothly, they'll be needing more soon.
