True blackgold, "its not a wild-cat exploration well" but, from last August, remember Kea and their Puka-3 appraisal well and what happened there even when they gave it its own special 3D seismic. Doesn't bear thinking about.

for Neil Ritson to be talking like he did regards Ntroya's appraisal make me think Aminex are about to update the market with an operations update report, i wonder what chance of success will be / can be put on the Ntroya appraisal well? its not a wild-cat exploration well.

Definitely squeaky bum time on that one spin of the Ntorya wheel, especially after their daft ramping up of expectations with an increase from 1.1tcf to 1.9 tcf for Ntorya. Am still amazed the Yellers let them get away with such dire news mismanagement.

Meanwhile, noticeable nowt said about the four explo wells nor the seismic they will require.

no talk of farm-in partners what so ever, they're going it alone, planning one Ntory appraisal well this year by the sound of it, $10 million cost. that's going to be a scary well.

Solo will take up further 6.5% subject to seeing the signed GSA

It and Aminex are takeover targets. Small companies on large gas near a market.

That's my take on what Ritson just said.

so they're contemplating between them Orca/IFC, spending US$120 million TO increase production from approximately 92 million standard cubic feet per day (“MMscfd”) to approximately 102 MMscfd. just puts into context the value of the KN well producing 20mmscfd. I'm not sure that this project is going to get the IFC board of approval, meeting slated for the 9th April.

from (IFC the World Bank Group)

Project Description

"The Songo Songo gas field is located onshore and offshore Songo Songo Island, approximately 20 km off the main coast of Tanzania and 200 km south of Dar es Salaam. The field has been developed under the Songo Songo Gas-to-Power Project, an integrated project that covers the gamut of exploration, development and production of gas, followed by processing, transportation and distribution of gas for power generation, and includes sales of gas to industrial and CNG users. The project was originally established in 2001 as a public-private partnership with the support of the World Bank."

"The Songo Songo natural gas development project (the “Project”) is a program of well workovers, one additional new development well and associated field infrastructure investment required to expand natural gas production at the Songo Songo gas field from its current level of approximately 92 million standard cubic feet per day (“MMscfd”) to approximately 102 MMscfd, filling the existing Songas Limited infrastructure and maximizing gas production for the balance of the Songo Songo licence period to 2026. This expansion of production would support additional electricity generation and supplemental gas sales associated with the Songo Songo Gas-to-Power Project. This work program would be implemented by end-2015 or early 2016, with an estimated total project cost of approximately US$120 million".

LOL.

Also. They have changed the font on Safari!!! My complaint has been taken seriously and the silly new font is under review. Marvelous service unlike Currys who have yet to contact me regarding a delivery date for a new fridge freezer. Now on public record, Lord Kalms of Edgware.

From the WRL RNS:

"We are pleased to have TIB Development Bank as a Tanzania-based partner
supporting our activities as we move towards being a key player in the
oil and gas sector in Tanzania. TIB have demonstrated a high level of
understanding of and commitment to Wentworth and the emerging energy
industry in Tanzania."

Now there's an idea. Jay and Phil are you paying attention? - Bit closer to home than Cyprus.

Yes they can, but they also have the potential to supply a lot more Gas and thus capitialise there investment to date.

That's why they are pursuing a GSA....

But they won't be held to ransom as they don't need to be

ngms27, "There could be a scenario whereby Orca are the first to use the new spur if they can get their GSA delivered and AEX don't"

not quite up to speed ngms27, Orca has their own gas infrastucture the old one, the one they are using now, it has spair capacity and their PSA runs for another 5-6 years or so. they don't need to use the new gas spur/infrastucture, they can carry on as they are defying TPDC, which i believe is the game Orca are playing.
