06/9/2019 08:45 | FoiledAgain - you said QUOTE However the BoD does have a good reputation in my opinion of using period of instability, low oil price etc., to make very good strategic decisions and lease acquisitions, as in CPO-5 and others. The assets of Amerisur are the best they have been in my opinion, and to use other people's terminology the ducks are all lined up, especially after the Occy deal. UNQUOTE On what did you base your opinion? On what our directors told you? If it was true, why is it that our share price has underperformed so much in recent years? Your opinion would only be proved right if a takeover at a good price materialises soon! IMO | sji
06/9/2019 08:35 | Agree, apart from which if someone only bought in last year and then now complains about the BoD its nuts. The BoD's on most companies underperform and usually an investor researches the BoD before they purchase, and without too much disrespect for our BoD to complain about underperformance in the last year, misses out perceived underperformance many times. However the BoD does have a good reputation in my opinion of using period of instability, low oil price etc., to make very good strategic decisions and lease acquisitions, as in CPO-5 and others. 06/9/2019 08:26 | It says it all when a poster says ‘institutes are selling but also buying’. Do they mean organisations like the WI?. Wouldn’t think that they sell/buy shares, but you never know. | ![]() blackdown2
06/9/2019 08:24 | avsome1968 - agree with you that no one over here knows the price AMER will be taken out at if it is taken out at all. However, one should be reasonable when investing. In my opinion, there was never a chance that we will be taken at those suggested high prices since it has been years since we touched those levels and since then, we didn't increase our production that much. Even your 30p is looking very high at this stage (imo) unless something out of the blues emerges (fingers crossed), like Indico-2 results in an extremely big find! I have never spoken to John Wardle and therefore cannot say what his intentions are. However, if he is asking for something over 30p, I think that we might be in trouble as things stand, in the sense that if we do not get taken over now, the share price will crash back to 12p and I am really fed up with these bunch (BOD), always promising jam tomorrow! Since getting in a year ago, I had a good profit after a few months in January 2019 (@ 20p) but being greedy, I didn't take it. Nine months have since passed and we haven't seen that level again! | sji
06/9/2019 07:55 | sji Or those continuously ramping on this BB that we will be taken out at 38p or more have started to realise now how far off the mark they might be! It is very worrying that a couple of institutes are continuing to sell down their holding even though we are supposed to get a much higher offer very soon. Sji Nobody really knows what price we will get taken out for, that's if we get taken out everyone has there opinions on AMER share value pointless predicting it, suppose its like selling your second hand car that you've cherished from new, you always want more for it than its actually worth, just have to sit on our hands till news arrive yes its frustrating could use money elsewhere. Yes institutes are selling but also buying between 17.50-- 19p range, I personally think JW and co wont sell under 30p range, well that's what am hoping for anyhow good luck all. | ![]() avsome1968

03/9/2019 19:37 | moneylender - a good find although it may mean nothing for Amerisur. However, given the boring situation we are in at the moment, with no news on new well drilling and share price languishing at around 18p, I thought to stimulate some more speculation! ONGC has recently been quoted as preparing to spend $16bn in acquisitions to double their current oil & gas production. Since last year they produced 284,297 boepd, so I calculate that they plan to pay for their assets at $16bn / 284,297 = $56,279 for each boepd bought! I know, it's very simplistic because when they buy assets, besides the current production, they also consider the target's prospects, estimated well life, current/future oil price etc. However, if one applies a simplistic approach, if they are ready to pay $56,279 for each boepd production and assuming AMER is currently producing 6,800 bopd, they should value our company at c. $383m or c. £320m vs, today's closing value of £218m. I would be most happy to accept a 47% premium to today's price (26.4p vs 18p) if they were to offer it to me tomorrow! Unfortunately, the boredom in AMER's share price is getting me to start daydreaming as several rampers over here continuously post! By the way, OBA output is back below 4,000 at 3,817 bopd! | sji
03/9/2019 18:55 | Have we seen this amongst all the dross about fracking? State-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. on Thursday said it plans to raise up to $2 billion in overseas borrowings through a unique and flexible, Singapore-listed debt instrument that provides it with an option to raise funds at short notice. | moneylender
03/9/2019 17:55 | No point in speculating what the price will be. We are not even sure if a firm offer will be made. We will all have to wait and see. Its a pointless excercise guessing | ![]() underhill2
