I’d of expected a tree shake today if there was anything big in interims. Always been leaky company. Bwdik

Looking like no one expects anything new in the update tomorrow the company may still surprise us and drill a well or two before the year end.

Perhaps they will shock us all and announce a 30p takeover. Well I can dream can't I?.

Lucyp00p,

Why would this years results make any difference to our "knowing what we're talking about" when all those previous results did squat!?!

Tomorrow. Given the amount at stake I'm slightly nervous about what they're going to say about the sale process.

Ooh, it's so close now. Only one more day before we can actually know what we're talking about here.

Agree re 1.5. The positive upside would be Indico-2 under way (near complete?), spudding of put-9 or Put-8 imminent. We know OBA+CPO-5 is near 7k, and in an uptrend (for 2019), so this is mildly positive, but not new. Another positive might be that Plat some wells may be offline for workovers - otherwise prod from Plat appears low, given Plat-26/22 drills in jun/july.

Part of SBiz above. Production guidance remains on track. No new rigs for LS3. Indico-2 either spud - results soon, about to spud, or even delayed. Drilling on CPO5 will move onto LLA34 play extension next year. No new seismic shot anywhere to end July this year (consulting with tribes). Civil works continue on Put8, or 9, or 12 to build an access road to actually drill something somewhere. Initial response to FSP encouraging - discussions are continuing.

1.5 - Just enough, which probably translates to an improvement in performance and profitability, with promise of jam tomorrow... no meaningful update on sale (other than the process is ongoing) and share price pretty much stays where it is.

It's the Amerisur way.

Movement in the sale process will be RNS'ed as and when it happens, I'd be very surprised if something market moving happens at exactly the time that Amerisur release their results. With no real progress with the drillbit and with full knowledge of pipeline transport numbers, I'm not sure how the company could surprise.

But then if I did know, it wouldn't be a surprise would it!?!

Come on then, what are people’s predictions for tomorrow?
1) sale process update included - lots of good news about interest and share price jumps up
2) just a good set of interims in line with expectations with acceptable updates on drilling plan, 3rd party oil, etc - share price moves up a little to 18p
3) poor set of interims with lots of excuses for delays - share price drops a bit to 16p
4) sale process ended no one interested - big drop in share price

I think 2 most likely. If the sale is serious then a poor set of interim results isn’t going to help. I’d like to see Indico 2 spud news and strong cash numbers. However based on my experience to date with the BoD I am not expecting much but a good list of excuses

PMO is currently in a similar position selling one of its biggest assets, ZAMA, and its share price has been moving up ever since the FSP was announced!

The process is confidential and the market does not know who the interested parties are, or the basis for their interest. So not surprising that the share price is treading water.

is their underperformance in drilling a see of oil (which is supposed to be there) having all the cash a reason (treason) to sell?

why would one sell a money spinner?

why are we getting no indications (SP) of a coming fight for such brilliant assets? are they brilliant?

are oilers suddenly gone stupid not falling over for these assets. not to mention OBA.

is there a race against time?

I do not get it

Apologies tgg - don't have an agenda!

SJI - Folks are forgetting this is an E&P. Exploration wells often disappoint. Not just here but everywhere. Well failures lead to changes in plans. Having said that the company really do need to start drilling Put 8/9/12 etc. 3rd party OBA also seems to be [minus] -190 bopd for July, with 3rd parties syphoning off oil! Must have gone into storage, or just 'shrinkage'. Tomorrow will be interesting.

xxnjr - are you serious? Are you saying that our BOD are trustworthy? You tell me that our BOD is doing well because ALL (!!) they failed in was the promise of third party oil in May not yet materializing and the promised drilling program not materializing either! Please note that we are an E&P oil company and drilling for oil is our MAIN activity. If the BOD NEVER delivers what they promise on drilling, then they are failing enormously. Here, we are not talking about missing on 1 or 2 drilling wells but missing MASSIVELY and CONTINUOUSLY. Check how many wells our BOD promised that they would drill in 2018 and what they actually drilled - not even half! Check what they promised us they would drill THIS year, even worse - 3 exploration wells vs 8-12 promised (in Sept 2018) and 1 appraisal well vs 2-6 promised?! So, they under-delivered grossly last year and what did they do? Promised more of the same for 2019 and under-delivered even more! I cannot understand how some posters over here continue to defend this kind of action by our BOD.

As regards production, don't you remember what they told shareholders almost TWO YEARS ago when for a day our production hit 7,000 barrels? Weren't we supposed to cruise towards 10,000 barrels then? Look where we are now?

You say that they gave us a guidance for 2019 of between 5,000 and 6,000 barrels which they are keeping to. This is not exactly since they specifically said that this guidance DOES NOT take into consideration any exploration results! So, by their own admission, our exploration activity this year has resulted in ZERO improvement in production, right? Is this something to be proud of and defend? May I remind you that in December 2019, we found our best well for a very long time (INDICO-1). And yet, our production figures in the first six months are down compared to last year! This wasn't what they promised last year, was it?

Have you listened to John Wardle's interview with Malcy last February about our prospects for this year? Wasn't he over the moon with what was coming up in a short while? Look where we are now?

In my opinion, the above is the MAIN reason for our share price at the moment. The market is punishing us for these reasons. Something positive has to happen very soon to get us all out from this share price level. Tomorrow, we have the interims. Let us all hope that some UNEXPECTED positive news crops out of the blues to give some of us the chance to move on at a decent price!
