Might have been posted but ONGC were quick off the mark to get more seismic on the CPO-5 Block.

Looks like they knew they were on a winner even before the news.

12/5/18 where its Month/Day/YEAR not DAY/MONTH/YEAR so on 5th December 2018 they tender for hiring of agency for developing complementary MMA for 3D Seismic in CPO-5 with last date of tender 11th of December at 17:00 hours. Confusing as the month/day/year formula changes within the tender

Gersemi - relax, that's what mm's do sometimes! They'll try every trick in the book when they want to shake holders.
Fundamentals are very strong here now imo, so am not worried about this.
Should be further news this week on CPO-5 progress and maybe OXY plans too. So a lot to look forward to!

buy the dips...

let's be clear, you don't change tack on a drilling campaign and stick that much skin in the game on a hunch....

this is a significant find

Conceivably and given that Amer time isn't like the same as regular time, where might we be by AGM day? Only 3 and a bit months away. Hoping for a very upbeat one this year.

thanks for the TA ST.

Geopark flying again at Llanos-34 this week..results out last week

I do have this gut feeling that we could become a target for the ONGC-Geopark JV

Great trend analysis, tradesmarter.
Many thanks for the clarity of your explanation.
Agree that, trend-wise, it’s one of the best I’ve seen for a long time although I would say early days (much further to go) and dependent on news-flow (fundamentals).

Last view was for a quick pullback to test support at 17.55

literally the next day and the magically buy signal also now issued on the trendline (not counting my chickens, but "technically a textbook operation"

Good news was that the support area worked a treat and bounced at 17.56 (sorry for being soo far out) Joking aside it wasnt just the moving avaerage and trend support it was also approx a 50% retracement on the gains from the 15p area and we finished on a hammer candle....signalling the buyers came back and finished on a high...normally a good omen for further gains when several bullish signals converge

As we know there was too much "its going to the moon and I'm going to be rich....sellers of hope generally make more money so good to get a brief pullback. If your in oil stocks then you should be ready for 30% moves in a blink of an eye, so think a few may be "in too deep" if worrying about a move of a penny or two.....I think when we get to 26p there actually will be a lot more volatility as it sets up 32-36p range or retest "resistance support area and head back to 20-22 before heading north again (just guesswork, but once we close above 20.5p then it really is bull territory ahead...If we get the news we expect next week it should be an intresting few days

Nothing works all the time, but the technical signals for Amer have worked "amazingly well" and it would seem that this should continue (keep repeating the formula till it fails is my view)

When we look at the retrace, the buy signal, the trendline etc again it seems to be a near perfect technical set up.For now only a test on the 16/17 areas would concern me if we finish below on a closing basis, BUT I'm thinking we should now head back to 19.5/20.5 (spread games) and retest recent highs....with some news I'm hoping we can get into the 20.5-22p range and then 26p. Even if news is "not great" cant see it going much lower than 16.5p and with soo much potential opportunity the risk/reward still appears one of the best I've seen for many years. For me this could be one of the opportunities of the year.

Anyway thats my honest view and "best guess" of the technicals...

You might as well do the white line - when it comes on top , you gotta make it happen.

In all fairness we should be nearer 30p than 20p.

x2 100-200ft+ net pay with plenty more to come. Now, if that isn't an opportunity I'm a China Toad!

The spread is way too wide and the volume just isn't there... hence nothing like enough stock being freed-up and punters are buying into weakness and at this still paltry valuation, PIs know full well they can [relatively safely] afford to do so.

Given that we're now out of overbought territory, I would expect MMs to begin another re-rate.
