19/5/2017 15:29 | WTI over $50 which is nice since AMER get a premium to WTI. | sleveen
19/5/2017 15:08 | Watching the share trying to make a modest gain only to be crushed day after day when there's so much good news is torture. Plat 21 results are due shortly let's hope they're a little special and give the share price a much deserved lift. | dayway123
19/5/2017 15:08 | The chart at the top of this thread is hopeless, it switches from bid to ask at the drop of a hat... up is down and down is up. | al101uk
19/5/2017 14:41 | FA, Out of interest did you ever get any further with your enquiries? I'm still keen to get to the bottom of the two biggest risks here as I see them: 1) Plat Production 2) OBA limitations Re-assurances on these two matters would likely have seen me adding, not reducing, despite being over-exposed. | al101uk
19/5/2017 14:33 | FA, You might be waiting a while for COP, SDX bought the assets from the administrator. [...] You're right about the Eygptian gov, but things appear to have stabilised under the current regime and payments are being made. COP ran too much debt and ran out of money, the assets were fine. You are correct though, my chief risk is political there, but at least the risks are different to AMER, eggs and baskets. This is the more speculative part of the my portfolio, balanced out by Lloyds, Legal & General etc on the sensible end of the spectrum. | al101uk
19/5/2017 14:14 | I wouldn't touch sdx with a long pole personally if it's company I have in mind. Sounds like similar assets to Circle Oil. | foiledagain
19/5/2017 14:03 | bought a few - appears to be on it's way up to me | bountyhunter
19/5/2017 13:46 | Oh, for anyone interested I never got a response to my mail asking about the production issues at Plat. Looks like I am on the same list as Val and others. Strike 3. | al101uk
19/5/2017 13:41 | Thanks marnewton, Will look out for the dip, hopefully I'll be a little more clued up by then. It seems the stars are aligned, lets see how it plays out. Watch AMER solve their transport issues with Petroamazonas now and blow me out the water. | al101uk
19/5/2017 12:53 | O/T al, SDX...I'm not a holder, yet, but it's on my watch-list. Nice channel (third point of contact on the lower trend-line recently in), above the 8 day EMA, 50/200 day SMAs rising, and bullish indicators - though it may re-test the 50 day SMA again. As for AMER, I'll hold, I think a bit of 'sideways' is the best to be hoped for, for now. M | marnewton
19/5/2017 12:35 | oilandgas1, Cheers, seen the presentation, but very early stages right now. Hoping they get the test results next week (would be nice and exciting), but not banking on it as there seems to be some confusion on that score. My MO is quite predictable, cash flow, production, no debt and some fully funded drills can be taken as a given :-) | al101uk
19/5/2017 12:23 | @al101uk I hold SDX ( more than amer now) , great potential, better management than Amer and FCF! Gas flow rate news due next week. Check out this. hxxp://www.sdxenergy | oilandgas1
19/5/2017 11:55 | marnewton, Unfortunately, almost as soon as I buy the conversation on the thread turns to management over-promising and not being clear on production figures... ... can't win. The AGM write ups look good though, especially the one by the guy who was cross posted here for his write up at the Amerisur AGM. Nice to have that comparison, he mentions the dour Amerisur AGM as a contrast to the SDX one ;-) A management who welcome interruptions and questions as opposed to a monologue. Only an initial stake £5K, will wait until I understand the company a little more before making any further commitment. Interested in any thoughts you have on SDX if your a holder, by PM if not appropriate here. | al101uk
19/5/2017 11:47 | Can't say I blame you al, AMER looks like it'll go lower before it goes higher. SDX has a nice chart and may well do the opposite!¬) M | marnewton
19/5/2017 11:40 | For the sake of transparency, I've dumped a decent portion of the trading stock I bought at around 23p for 25.5p and 26p. The main reason is that it was trading stock I bought to average down on the buy at 30p I made at OBA commissioning time. It's around £12k of stock, my core holding plus some trading stock still held. Amerisur has turned from a "no brainer" to a regular investment for me over the last six to nine months, which means I have to treat it as such when it comes to weighting in my portfolio and risk management. Pumped some of the proceeds in to SDX if anyone is interested. A small speculative punt with some decent near term upside potential. | al101uk
19/5/2017 10:31 | It's afternoon here! | tonyrelaxes
19/5/2017 10:12 | Good Morning Campers! Q. | quidnunc
18/5/2017 18:52 | I wish it were in sandy lanes Barbados. Holiday time again. Good luck to the new boys, chaps, fraternity. | valentine
18/5/2017 18:32 | Been drinking again Val ;) | big7ime
18/5/2017 17:52 | AIM does not do straight lines not unless they are in decline like 65 to 16.5p. Nothing happens in sandy lanes time esp with Amer. | valentine
18/5/2017 17:40 | "Someone rifles the aim poor box" Pardon?? Can someone translate valentines post for me I don't think Google does E.T. | adam
18/5/2017 17:04 | Exactly Tony so many times I came away from an AGM on a high only to see so drop to new low. In reply to another post RH got scammed like a few of us and is outing boot in. He believed or was led to believe in £1 multiples as is his wont. He nvrsts in major winners. He is showing his gratitude now. Post at Leger it picks up. Don't get carried away though. Someone rifles the aim poor box just when you least expect it, and will, undoubtedly, again. Fours months and we'll all be millionaires, maybe. | valentine
18/5/2017 16:38 | The share price is doing better than usual for a week or so after the AGM. Traditionally it was in steady decline until September's announcement of Interims, with the drops coming at the ends of days. | tonyrelaxes |
