27/9/2019 17:29 | My assumption is that the virtual halt in ops says a deal is the far more likely outcome, not less - and in 2019. I bet JW is already taking the pictures off his office wall... | ![]() davwal
27/9/2019 15:52 | Sorry Oba figures. Q | ![]() quidnunc
27/9/2019 15:51 | I said they maybe took their foot off the gas, not put it on the brake! As a wise philosopher once said, "it's better to have someone suspect you of being a fool than to open your mouth and prove it!" From Amers perspective, it's perhaps better to rest on a successful program thus far than risk a couple of dusters mapping the outlines of the fields. Look what the last one did to the share price The rest of the operation and infrastructure appears to operate as normal of the Ona figures are anything to go byQ | ![]() quidnunc
27/9/2019 13:13 | So what you're saying is every 4 months when someone knocks on the door with a low ball offer, we have to suspend operations? You have quoted a 2 year timeframe for this process from your own experience so what happens to all the staff we spend all of our revenue on? Can we suspend their operations too?? Of course I would be happy to sack all of our operations personnel in the UK and in South America as the overhead attributed to operations is insane, relegate JW to auditing CP05 returns and mothball everything until the outcome of this process is resolved. We would bank over half a million per week, minimum at virtually zero overhead, transforming the accounts from annual recurring loss or break even to a 25 million dollar minimum profit. Then try selling that for 17p per share - try 50p and you might be close. | ![]() lucyp00p
27/9/2019 12:30 | Yes Mehmets wife looks after all sorts of waifs and strays, including Brian after life dealt him a couple of body blows. The cat looks chubby and happy, the old dog sleeps in the sun whilst the young one chases passing police vehicles. I think, given the lack of news on the drilling front that the board have clearly taken their foot off the gas peddle. Whilst a success would give positive pressure it wouldn't necessarily improve an offer price, whilst a duster would be quite negative Q | ![]() quidnunc
27/9/2019 12:27 | Well, they told us meaningful conversations are happening in October so I'm not expecting any news, however, I would have expected the OXY action to have started by now or maybe the 93 million has strings attached. Presumably there is a 3 way game of chess taking place with out partners. Realistically, the oil isn't going away, but the lack of activity, and it's potential to add multiples of value if successful, is pretty strange, after all, we have enough money in the bank to do stuff. | ![]() lucyp00p
27/9/2019 12:12 | The longer this goes on the less likely of a firm acceptable offer. At present there appears to be no drilling taking place. We seem to be at a standstill. I would not be suprised if after the Stategic Review Amerisur decides to go it alone. In the long term this may be the best option in increasing value here. Patience is the key here. Nevertheless the stagnant low current share price and low volumes does not indicate that we are close to any deal. Hopefully by Xmas we will know one way or another. An update from Man gement would be nice ! | ![]() underhill2
27/9/2019 11:47 | This takeover better happen as the tiniest sales destroy the share price I mean, I know it's AIM but the liberties being taken on the spreads are criminal. | ![]() lucyp00p
27/9/2019 10:21 | Quiddy I hope someone has taken the cat in and looking after him. £1 by Xmas | moneylender
27/9/2019 09:32 | So the owners sit on the side waiting for things to change and the Brits and the Scandys to come back...rather like the old timers here just waiting quietly for some real news and progress to emerge Q | ![]() quidnunc
27/9/2019 09:30 | I can picture the scene, Q. Enjoy. | ![]() bigwavedave
27/9/2019 09:27 | Sitting in Mehmets Bar drinking coffee as it's too early for beer in this heat. Greeted by Brian's cat who lost interest when he realised we carried no food. The view from here remains the same although the local council is moving the goalposts and old hangouts like the bar are on a back foot. The tourists are all on Eastern European complete packages and don't stop in to beer and chill despite Brian's CDs still pushing out the sounds Q | ![]() quidnunc
27/9/2019 07:16 | Ah, but the companies interested in Amer haven’t tried negotiating with the Crafty Wine Merchant... | ![]() davwal
26/9/2019 22:15 | and - I forgot - state usually quite clearly expresses its interests behind the scenes too who can not buy or who the preferred buyer is. poop my friend lol | ![]() kaos3
26/9/2019 19:24 | Like you would know | ![]() lucyp00p
26/9/2019 16:42 | well I was in a few processes. first of all it matters how the process is structured (dutch auction, auction, firm bids with improvement, without ...) usually bidders know each other very well and behind the scenes many times we were told to f.. off, or we told the others. rarely it was not done. but there was a gentleman agreement in a way and each got a turn, a price was paid in a kind and similar. it rarely is an open and fair bidding. in my experience and if there was fair competitive process - share price would dance different waltz | ![]() kaos3
26/9/2019 16:40 | The market doesn't believe this company is valued above 17p. They've probably looked at the salaries of the directors and the way options have been granted over the years and come to the conclusion that the figures they see can't be trusted. | ![]() deuchar
26/9/2019 16:01 | Kaos Would bidders in this competitive process gamble on a low offer based on current share price and potentially lose out or would they not offer what the assets are actually worth to them regardless of sp?? | ![]() eddie_yates
26/9/2019 15:47 | they will pay their full price and not take the opportunity of the low share price - wise words | ![]() kaos3
26/9/2019 15:40 | I'm sure that before calculating the size of any bid, all potential suitors will ignore what they think we are worth to them, and look at the share price.......NOT | ![]() lucyp00p
26/9/2019 15:27 | The lower the share price the cheaper it will be to take us over if this was 25p today you could say 30p+ no trouble but to get this to that amount we need a constant drift up over the next few weeks.IMO if we stick at this level much longer middle 20ps at the most I hope I'm wrong because as a Lth anything less than 30p is a very poor return for my holding just got to sit back and see if they can pull a rabbit out of the hat good luck to all we sure need it,. | ![]() bryet |
