The problem with votes (of no confidence or other) is that GC refuses to give the voting figures "because I don't have to" - as he twice said to me at the AGM.

Without attempting to suggest dishonesty or rigging, that in itself hardly inspires confidence.

Well, I like the new website. The revamp is something which should have been done long ago. The old one was a shocker.

No quandary, as the share price should never have dropped to 12p in the first place. Multiple selling of millions of shares over a prolonged period which inevitably knocked some smaller traders out as stops were hit on the way down, allied to those in the know shorting and leveraged deals, where everyone in the City was aware of exactly what shares were being sold by whom, but where many of us are not privy to that information had its effect on the share price even when good news occurred.

Most of the ducks are lined up now, occy, ONGC, further acquisitions 100% Amerisur, OBA....

It was a strange time to put it into the process, where imo it was either pressure exerted from a holder of a very large number of shares, or conceivably its to initiate an MBO although I don't believe the institutions would be holding on to shares if that were the situation, but it is feasible.

I don't believe its coincidental that Ironveld are going through a similar situation, and they have a shareholder with a major holding that Amerisur has.

With all the ducks lined up, it was a very strange time to put it up for sale, and the least that can come of this imo is a special payment to shareholders from the disposal either of the company or of an asset the company holds, as otherwise I can't see the BoD surviving with what would be perceived as a major vote of no confidence in them if they state how undervalued a bid is, but then it is not at least doubled from that.

PANR are in the same sort of situation, their share price action much the same as AMER`s.

We could get an RNS any day with a big offer for the company recommended by the BOD.

I'm in two minds.Half of me is saying you'll kick yourself you didn't go all in when the company was up for sale with multiple suitors squabbling. A classic situation where the price could get out of hand. The other half is worried there won't be a sale and we could end up back at 12p if there isn't.Decisions, decisions.

Any buyer is looking to the medium/long term, so short term oil price volatility really doesn’t matter.

Nothing has really changed since the last RNS from AMER, oil price is actually slightly higher, UK politics/brexit is not a factor, could just be down to profit taking, perhaps some short term shorting action, whilst we await some sort of news that will either increase/decrease the SP, could be days or weeks.

There's been a near 50% rise in the share price since the "bid" was revealed, we're now at the "holding" stage and will be for the next couple of months at least as interested parties complete their due diligence, meanwhile WTI is back down to $54 a barrel and the markets are in turmoil.

Can I ask, what exactly are people expecting here ???

Until we have a proper firm offer nobody can comment about what the share price is worth. With a declining oil price and Brexit uncertainties maybe no firm offer will be made. Until we get some form of update we just dont know. The current share price reflects the uncertainties. Maybe the outcome of the strategic review is that we stay as we are. Only time will tell

There was nothing wrong with the previous website. In fact it was one of the better ones. The re-design looks a bit of a mess.

Operational news, specifically Indico-2, would show AMER still had there eye on the ball and, even if nothing came of any bid, would shore up the share price If no formal bid made, no progress at CPO-5 occurs and wider market continues to weaken pre-interest levels of 12p may appear to have been the sunny uplands :(

Must admit the offloading of millions of shares when there are a number of parties supposedly interested even when baseline interest at 17p dismissed is niggling away.

Indico-2 news would be very welcome while we twiddle our thumbs hoping for a positive outcome on the corporate side.

This sections seems to have been cut and pasted from someone else as it reading it shows it includes payment for services/goods etc., not applicable.

Why spend money on it now? Would like to know who got paid for it and how much.

With share price as it is and the website and R&M offloading having to wonder whether all of this is a ruse.

Why would any company offload if an early offer was rejected and likelihood of much higher price? Unless there was no likelihood of higher price?

New site looks a bit dated design. Wonder whether a relative got the job.

Like the bit about adding shareholder value, but they missed the bit about taking as much as they can for themselves, which in no small way poured a pile of poo on Amerisur.
