I am positively surprised with the process !!!
We might even get close to the value - more than 35 p min.
Their communication still bad. Why not replace "several" bidders or interests with a number !!!

But I am optimistic for a good sale. It happened that amers value is just too high of an importance that can be overlooked or swiped away by some.

very good.

Is it too early to plan an end of Amerisur party? We might be able to afford to buy the Great Nep when this is over.

xxnjr - the Calao-1 result does not make JW a lair but the 3rd party oil statement for the AGM definitely does!

FoiledAgain - yes, I did. Maybe because I did not do enough research before I bought! My mistake then but now, after I experienced them during the last year, I will not trust them again.

Sji - 'You don't find a 300ft oil column in isolation. It has to be part of a bigger trapping system,'.....

Don't recall JW using those exact words in his BRR Media interviews. My understanding from what he said was more like

the current oil down to at Indico-1 cannot be explained by structural trapping alone, and may be part of a (larger) combination trapping system, this model will be tested by the next wells

Subsequent events, the drill result at Calao did not corroborate that pre-drill model at Calao. It showed the seismic interpretation was out at Calao.

That does not make JW a liar IMHO.

sji. that was not the point. The point as I mentioned was the BoD had apparently underperformed for some time before you bought, yet you bought?

With regards CPO-5, that's completely out of Amerisur's hands.

With regards reserves it appears you have not checked Annual Report for 2018 which after all is the report after you purchased and the latest annual report? An increase of 27.8% 1P reserves, 23.6% 2P reserves.

I Agree with techtrader, as soon as this pops through 20p we will see the Chartists scurry for shares and I can see a quick rise to 22 just based on technical analysis. We might not have to wait long for a realistic bid then.
I know GC won’t let this go in the 20s, he said as much when I spoke with him at the AGM before last
I have held here for a few yrs and intended it as a 10yr plus investment so am more than happy riding it out to the end.

treasure - so, let us continue to point fingers towards others, ONGC, Rex etc and clear our BOD!

sji - didn't Ongc have to drill there to satisfy commitments to the block. AMER did not prioritise those 2 drills did they as they are not the operator?

FoiledAgain - this is what John Wardle promised in January 2019 after Indico-1:

'You don't find a 300ft oil column in isolation. It has to be part of a bigger trapping system,' says Wardle. His aim is to grow production and reserves substantially throughout the year. -

Then, we had Calao-1 - a duster and Sol-1 - a mini-duster and the share price lying at 12p before the takeover approach!

Did we get a substantial increase in reserves and PRODUCTION yet as promised? No!

Then, in May 2019, we were told about the first third-party oil arriving for OBA and giving us the impression that now the OBA output will start to increase. We were given this impression just before the AGM. Were we fooled? Definitely.

For me, I do not need years to get fooled to lose faith in a BOD! Just a few months and a falling share price is enough for me. This BOD does not keep their word, period!

sji - when I read the initial item regarding the m & p interest it also mentioned other interested parties or something like that. It was not just interest from 1 other company and I seem to remember it inferred either total sale or sale of some parts of the business. You may be right about the bod selling up but it seems like they are looking at maximising shareholder return rather than selling on the cheap. As many on here and the LSE bb have pointed out that the current price no where near reflects today's value let along the possibilities in a period beyond 12 months away.
