Love it when a plan comes together- pot’s brewing nicely here and a great place and time to be long with all the mkt turbulence.

Reckon the Iranians must be thinking now’s a good time to needle Mr Pres again. Though more likely things in the Gulf will get even hotter with the US election kick-off.

Trump’s game-play all too predictable and his bluster just that, utterly vacuous. On many fronts he’s simply run out of road. Phutttt!

Is it just a coincidence that last RNS yesterday concerned holdings of M&P in AMER and first RNS today concerned holdings in AMER by Michinoko? Just asking since I know nothing!

In my opinion its nothing to do with Michinoko chilling. Why would they sell if they have pledged support to a bidder?

You must recall the article by the bidder referred to them having support from major holder(s) and from the looks of it, that holder is Michinoku.

this comes close on the heels of the FT report pre AGM that Michinoko were not supporting the BoD.

So M&P might not own any shares, but they may have 11% at their disposal.

PW you appear to be labouring under the mistaken belief that M&P have been buying Amerisur shares since FSP announced. They have not. This discussion forum had already worked that out days ago. The Form 8 (OPD) merely confirms what we already knew as per "Q" above. What we did not know, but now do, is that M&P had not purchased any Amerisur stock prior to their recent informal approach.

Dont really understand the last two RNS disclosure positions. It seems to indicate that M&P now have no position in AMER although they are not the easiest of things to decipher. If that is true, then I would expect am update tomorrow morning as they were the initial bidders, to outline that they are no longer interested / if any other parties are interested.

experienced corporate trader like M&P does not make use of cheap target Co shares accumulation for their sure profit. and then does an offer which they could knew would be rejected.

why? does it make any sense in order to achieve their publicly given objective?

just rhetorical Q from asylum lol

I'm thinking they missed a trick there then, should have bought some prior to the approach.

Am I reading the M&P form 8 correctly? Do they now control just under 71%?
