Vermillion 1966, what JW said in recent interview was around 30 days to hit total depth and 10 days for testing. This was the guidance he gave but not specifically to Calao drill.

Tyler D, probably a good idea if you bail out now. Your very focussed on the past as a high percentage of what you say in your posts refers to pint, the future is OXY farm out and cpo 5 and pint will form a small part of what is discussed here and where Amer invests its money for the near future. Yes there will be news flow for pint whether poor or marginally better. I'm looking forward to the possible 20 drills by the end of next year in my opinion and also a development plan at mariposa. Hope they stick a half dozen pins around mariposa. Good luck on how you re invest your money if you do bail out and I'd be interested if you reinvest in another company which one you choose.

Calao spudded on 1st Feb. 40 days to drill, with results announced 5 days later brings us to 18th March announcement, roughly. Does this sound about right?

25p??????

Add a £1. in front of it and it might get interesting. Going through the pain without waiting for the gain seems crazy but each to their own.

For me 2019 is to use someone else's expression likely to be 'transformational'

The Castilla and Chichimene NE fields, operated by Chevron, are located in the southern Llanos basin of Colombia. The Castilla field, with an estimated 2.3 billion BBLS OOIP, produces heavy 14â² API oil, while the Chichimene NE field with an estimated 480 MMBBLS OOIP, produces a lighter 20â² API oil. Production is from multiple sandstone reservoirs of the Tertiary San Fernando and the Cretaceous Guadalupe Formations, and from massive non-marine sands of the Cretaceous Une Formation. Early problems with water coning and high water cuts led to detailed geologic study and engineering simulation to determine the most effective methods of reservoir management. The fresh nature of the connate water made evaluation more complicated, but results of RST (Reservoir Saturation Tool) logging runs on producing wells support the conclusions of the simulation studies regarding the potential for vertical drainage of the reservoir. As a result, the massive sands of the Une Formation can be perforated in the upper portion of the reservoir only, still enabling effective drainage of the lower reservoir while reducing water production and coning problems

Been researching this week. Is the Castilla field the same geology as at CPO-5 ? Both referencing the Une sands in the Cretaceous. Can't find any mention of vertical depth of sands at Castilla though. How deep and wide do the sands have to be for 2.3 billion BBLS OOIP ? Geology looks promising.

And if Calao is a hit there will be talk of a couple more pops at it. Possibly the same with the one after. At some stage we will here how many more pins will go in Mary p. What's your guesstimate on how many drills in cpo 5 by the end of next year, maybe up to 20 which is a bit of wishful thinking as well but if we keep getting strikes it asks more questions and needs more answers. Just can't believe how these toe rags can hold the price and control it at will to cream up before letting off the handbrake.

Calao/Pavo are all about sizing the prize. CPO5/Indico has already been a huge success it's clearly deeper and looks like it can comfortably sustain flow at 6kbopd+.

Looks nailed on, if Calao comes in - it's 2nd rig time. "We're discussing this with partners and Government, but (CPO5) it's looking very much like a multi-rig drilling programme" JW

...and a CPO5 drill net to Amerisur costs what? $3m? North Sea quality, only onshore overheads with oil sold at wellhead!

Buena economia, buenos números y altamente prospectivo. Eso es todo!
