CPO-5 is positive, works planned for 2019 on the PUTs are positive but AMER's bread & butter op Platanillo has issues and these are not being fully disclosed to the market. Move to quarterly reporting was not coincidental IMHO. The very fact that they're looking at 3rd party oil to fill AMER's quota suggests that Platanillo decline isn't going to be resolved/reversed any time soon.

Not surprised that share price is pretty much back were we started the day given usual AMER mixed bag RNS. Talk of multi-bagging now seems premature given that CPO-5 is just filling drop in Platanillo production rather than being the icing on top.

All that said at least AMER have stable-ish production of c5k bopd with a decent work programme looking forward which should underpin share price

Some time ago someone mooted it was apparent how assets directly under Amerisur's control were not performing with the inference it was by design along with the almost negative news that always seem to accompany them. You have to say its bloody coincidence that CPO-5 under control of ONGC, including news flow turns up such good news all the time, with Amerisur's assets either underplayed or just underperforming for whatever reason that might be. Either bad luck or what was suggested by others in the past. Has Rex really gone?

But what the f is wrong with JW's plat? He was adamant he could solve the problems there and even built a pipeline. The updates on it are insufficient. Pintadillo? what is the problem, the other wells, what is the problem? We need to know and I note they are trying to gain permission to buy oil to transport, so how much confidence have they got in Platanillo to produce for Amerisur
