leas1: The 3% threshold does not mean a company can never get details of beneficial holdings below that? ANY holding can be checked, whether its offshore, onshore UK. So Amerisur or any company or broker can find out in a matter of hours exactly what the status is of RH

L1 - I wonder if the company itself would tweet this if they knew that Harbour had sold up entirely? Is that legal or allowed under LSE rules? It would provide a positive sign to the market that the embedded price drag no longer applies barring the usual intra-day trading activity

gersemi, sadly we can never get that as he fell below the 3%. In any case he cannot affect what the company is doing and volume like yesterday should see him off. If he's not gone already. As soon as this dips now there is a renewed appetite to buy.

We need verifiable proof that Harbour's departed the stock as that takes away that drag. Any good news after that and we should see a stonking move (up or down!)

The last couple of weeks the trading here has been quite predictable. Just buy the dips.

While that is true all of the recent director buys were followed quickly by positive news. A director can buy knowing that drilling results are expected provided they don't know the actual results. So there could be news at any time though you normally expect at least a week of quiet to give the veneer of no inside info

@RetailRonnie yr 0752

Exactly what I was driving at y'day. If the green relief areas are indeed we have one simple and very large field 300mmbo recoverable but quite possibly considerably more.

Peeps reckon CPO5 is tuning into a gem, but the acreage farm-out to OXY holds massive potential. This entire area is not only prolific but hugely under-exploited.

Closed periods are defined by expected releases of financial information, or inside information... one month prior for quarterly results and two months prior for annual results.
The fact that an insider traded shares also implies there is no further "inside information" significant for market release for the time being. He traded following an update so all is kosher and nothing new expected for the time being.

With the Foss purchase yesterday, does it mean we are now in a closed period?

Want 18p as base. Don't believe there's much resistance between us and 20p. Also, gauging by Mariposa reaction we should get a couple of good follow up days to yesterday

astorcourt ... if that's a serious question, please contact the Samaritans on 116 123 as I believe they do everything they can to help what otherwise seem hopeless cases.

I know I keep banging on about it, but this webcast is really worth a listen especially given yesterdays news.

hxxp://webcasting.brrmedia.co.uk/broadcast/5af56ddbb8283f1e00f55185

He's presenting this presentation:
hxxp://amerisurresources.com/images/rns-pdfs/AGM-Presentation-15-05-18.pdf

Page 16 - He describes the oil field to the north east (not on our block) as "Most important field in the last 25 years - it's simply massive". Note: It produces from the lower sands 3. The hypothesis is that the red fault lines extend into our block.

He then describes "As they drilled the bumps along there , they eventually came to understand that this thing *was all connected* and it was one *simple field*. that field has produced 50 million barrels to date and still only 2/3 developed... What we've asked ourselves for a while is why haven't we been drilling wells in here. The fact is our 3D seizmic here just kinda misses this fault section here and our 3D bit in the south, it does catch these trends but only on the corner and these structures are very subtle..."

They are now drilling between Indico and Aguila where "at Calao of between 2 and 7 mmbo. However, given the results at Indico-1, which indicate the potential for combination trapping, the Company believes potential resources may be significantly higher". As I said yesterday On page 15 there doesn't appear to be an obvious 'hump' trap to aim at - the bright green section?

It seems to me that they are drilling the gaps "between the bumps" to understand if this thing *is all connected* and it is one *simple field*.

My belief is John W wants another Emerald, or perhaps in Amerisur it will prove to be a diamond. Giles has already indicated he would be willing to sell Amerisur....but he will not give it away less than £1.

If the other deals come off for Amerisur, which in my opinion although not a given is still likely, then I think that £1 will prove far easier to achieve and far quicker than many believe.

It would have to be an agreed deal which is why no one has come forward so far. All imo.

A few similarities with the Emerald deal already coming to the fore. CPO-5 via ONGC where ONGC are major player with China National Petroleum Corp and have done for some years. They have an MOU dating back to 2015.

ONGC has though been in competition for worldwide oil and gas assets with CNOOC, China's third largest oil company.

In 2006 ONGC had 50pc of Ominex along with Sinopec, so expect any takeover to have a couple of bidders and India is determined to focus on its future oil needs and aspirations of being another Super Power Economy.

750p a share for a diamond as opposed to Emerald anyone (tic)

I was lucky enough to take part in the open offer at Emerald for 2.25p but with capital restructuring along the way and JW was the the catalyst when he joined imo.

tradesmarter, anyone buying at the bottom and selling at the top is a result of lady luck rather than being smart. I was lucky once with a company called Electronic Boutique many years ago and finally selling when they were called Game.
Bought in 3 tranches here from 15p down to mid 10.s. Looked at the company a year or so ago after a tip from a fellow investor.
Always stated that I would buy after I was satisfied RH could not do any further harm to the share price Pulled the trigger a bit too early but always felt happy with my strategy.
News seems to be free flowing now with updates on many fronts to come.
I also think today's news has not been fully digested yet and expect a higher share price after the traders have gone.

Thanks tradesmarter, and for the charts too. Was made rather easy for me to be honest as I got in a bit of a row on another thread and bought a load in the 12's after being mocked for holding.
Not sure that person meant to help me out like that but I'm not complaining.
Looking forward to the party at £1!

'That's a decent Director buy of 200k at 17.5'

Decent as in a 'decent size' Director purchase not decent in a moral sense

not many get the bottom,so well done on that! my lowest was 11.11 after I waited for it to bounce of long term support...never lucky enough to catch the bottom or the top for that matter, but I consider anything below 22p to still be "rock bottom price" vs future potential and when both the fundamentals and technicals are in tandem and both pointing to significantly higher value then that's a good omen and a definitive buy signal...best of luck
