Why will you people not understand - shale is not about economics, it is about what the United States of America IS: a good for nothing, lying, double-crossing country which is only interested in itself and its own perception of power.

Geez oil is getting battered again, never saw this coming a few months ago....new year highs etc and all and now looking very rocky.....sector confidence is ebbing. At least shale businesses will stop as no profit for then now.

All prices can be manipulated if you have the purchasing power and there is a willing seller , I managed to get a large amount at 8.9p , which two days later showed as a sell , it's all a game for the mm.

You would need to put a bid in to the closing auction, if your bid is the only one and it is accepted, then yes.

Another fishy sale at 2.41pm for 14.1p where 14.3 was possible. Please tell me, if I place a last minute sale order and ask for a lowball execution price without improvement, can I rig the closing sp?

Tyler, the fact that Mariposa was given reserves of 1Mbo but in the first year has already produced this much. Does that not tell you anything ?

....1.3mmbbls were booked for Mariposa, net to AMER.

"Are you suffering for optimism...? If so, we have just the cure..." Wipers Times

LOL

I for one am very optimistic for AMER and for the medium term POO, which continues to be manipulated by shorts and futures market shenanigans. We'll just have to get used to this volatility - sadly goes with today's territory. To say marginal S v D variations are triggering bonkers swings would be something of an understatement.

bdgm. Long experience on AIM tells me that what is said means little. How many Chief Execs. exaggerate, how many leave a trail of busted investors?

Never met a Director yet that doesn't suggest share price is undervalued or that they are expecting more.

This time though I do think there is good cause for optimism, but until more real data comes out, it is just that. Optimism, but with every bit of data so far making it look better and better.

Presentations....do you remember Langbar presentation and hundreds of long gone oilies....

Tyler, If you haven't seen anything from the company to suggest the traps are bigger than the original size mentioned then have a look at the AGM presentation from May 2018. In particular there is a section on CPO-5. JW makes it very very clear that they are expecting much more in terms of reserves than the figures given. The example given is the Aguila structure with a 4Mbo estimate but he makes it very clear they wouldnt be surpised to see 20+ Mbo. Dont just look at the slides, spend the time and listen to his presentation. It really is worth it. I'm not for one minute suggesting the structures will be connected as a giant field but JW makes it very clear what they are expecting.

A play fairway is an area where oil reservoirs are likely to be found. Whether the plays are connected or large remains to be seen. But clearly, Indico-1 after Mariposa makes them more confident of such a fairway.

Regarding 3D, they already have it for north west and south east CPO-5, which is where their current prospects are shown. The maps on page 60+ of the tender document (Thanks Kaos!) are worth looking at - but in summary the new 3D connects the NW with SE to give complete 3D over all but the NE and SW corners. Contract is for 2 years, though, so how fast this will be done is unclear. Tender document here:

Again, so much information in this webcast from 23 minutes to 30 regarding Mariposa / Indico.

"We know from pressure build up tests, that the apparent drainage area of the structure to the aquifer support constant pressure boundary is round about 3,700 acres"

"We believe Mariposa is fill to spill, if that's the case, the oil should have migrated to structures further updip" i.e. Indico and Sol

Kaos

Be great if it is connected.

Not seen anything from the company or ONGC to suggest the traps are bigger than the size originally mentioned in terms of bbls/reserves.

So much more info to come.

The point I am making is quite a simple one. Why would Wardle introduce the idea of a larger structure which inevitably would increase investor expectations? It seems illogical to do such a thing if such a thing was unrealistic.

Anyway, apologies. Just thinking out loud

The price action is very odd for a stock of this size...it acts like an illiquid penny stock. Curious. Almost as if we can't believe what we are seeing is the true state of the market

the only positive is it makes the price chart look a bit healthier, but price should be closer to 15p today ?
