See no reason Indico shouldn't qualify as Cat 1 "gusher".

You don't ham up an RNS like Monday's to then drop a handbag. I reckon we've done better than exceed expectations. It's clearly a case of a significant exceed. How significant, well we'll just have to be patient. Here's one for free; you certainly don't drill a 10inch bore without having a good sense of what you're over!

Seems to me they're tapping a black lagoon in CPO-5 and there's plenty more to plumb-in besides as OXY fully appreciate. They (OXY) will be watching closely alright and may even bring activity forward should the poo stablise around $60 to 65. Oh yes.

These news clippings are about the Guatiquia Block just north of CPO-5 and are 8 years old but do give you an idea of how good this area can be.


Candelilla-1 well commenced production at over 11,500 barrels of oil per day of 44 degree API oil with less than 1% water cut using an electric submersible pump (ESP)

This successful production test is from 10 feet of perforations at the top of the Lower Sand 3 formation, which we had initially identified as the Lower Sand 2 formation after our preliminary analysis of the well logs.

Well logs indicated 97 feet of potential net oil pay in the Lower Sand 3 formation

Looking back at Mariposa, it took just under 4 weeks to case the well & flowtest it. They might be better prepared this time, so maybe we won't have so long to wait?
