The Colombian oil producer looks exciting after a $93m agreement with a US firm and exploration success

We think a very active period for Amerisur Resources (AMER:AIM) could be the catalyst for the market to take another look at the stock. A recently secured $93m farm-out agreement with US firm Occidental Petroleum (23 Nov) and news of a potentially significant new oil discovery (10 Dec) has breathed some life into the share price. Well no sacking MAY she lives to fight on so momentum should carry on tomorrow also oil on its way north due to opec cutting 1.5mbopd that's double what the market expected so any spare change could see small profit gains in enquest, premier and tullow oil tend to be more sensitive to po0 due to higher production volumes and dept positions there in.

Or add more AMER dept free cash rich and low cost producer, with fully funded active exploration programme in 2019 not to mention cpo-5 block indico-1 well looks huge cant wait for the flow rates to be released anything like Mariposa-1 be more than happy, certainly wont disappoint new investors here that like solid fundamentals with some exciting exploration work thrown in on top, target price 50p

It's only back to the share price it should never have dropped from after the first drill bit...which ended up being a producer...add in the farm out and the latest 209ft net pay well...then ffs this is cheaper than the cheapest chips...buy up to 25p...

COVE yes that is a blast from the past did buy it first of all because I used to live near Cove if AMER turns out as well as it did I will not complain.

It may take a couple of years, but I'm beginning to seriously think new highs can be achieved here 60p-80p-£1 maybe more.

Many disgruntled PIs will hate me for saying so, but the Exec have been very astute with their deal making, if not drilling, over recent years. But now we're starting to execute in fairly spectacular fashion.

The journey has been tortuous for all us LTHers but I've always had a vibe about the quality of sands and general 'terroir' in this neck of the woods and the CPO-5 block (just one of many) looks like an absolute Christmas Cracker.

On-top of that our new 24-carat, 3-block partner coming to us cap-in-hand, clearly looking for their own chunky slice of the cake - no soggy bottoms ;o)

For sure, 2019 is shaping up very nicely, but "Team Amerisur" need to watch their six as knives will now be sharpened; but if CPO-5 is what we think it may be - and the sands seem to be incredibly high quality - this block (alone) could give the share price a size 14 kick up the proverbial rankings.

Lucky streak..? Perhaps. But you have to make your luck. Remember COVE a few years back...? ;o)

Can't wait for that Sol drill, the COS on that must now be 65-75%. That's about as good as it gets and that's the nature of this particular 'department'. Sure, it's remote and the weather is shocking, but it's prolific.

Just respect the people, work with the weather and work the terrain responsibly.

Babbs, missed that 200k trade. I did think 15p was pivotal but lets see when the share price hits 16 again.

The recently acquired Coendu seismic data in Put 12 and Put 9 has now been processed and is being interpreted prior to finalisation of the first Coendu drilling location.As the company moves into a busy period of drilling, it will be providing regular operational updates around these activities, alongside quarterly production updates, as per oil industry best practice disclosure.some more news for us to look forward to
