I do use facts and I do have theories like most posters? Thusfar been been proven quite accurate?

Lauders, thanks for taking the time to look at drill times. Agreed it was done on purpose I know Nick Harrison reads the boards and I am sure some of the board must be slightly embarrassed by this year's utter failure to date. They have 4 months to put that right, starting with the intrims that should show something like 70-75 million dollars cash at bank. I am still buying at sub 17p as and when cash permits. Lots of news coming soooooooon.

The reform comes on the back of repeated delays to oil auctions and limited exploration opportunities, both of which have stymied the signing of new contracts.

Charlieee, too much self inflicted harm here, we need the half year figures now to restore confidence and it would have been good to hear how long the drill will take to hit TD.

Judging from recent performance on timelines, perhaps this was done on purpose! Why fail to meet another? I did, however, find this piece from the operations update of 4th April:

In the period leading up to approval Amerisur performed a number of preparatory works, including the stockpiling of materials required for the civil works, which have now commenced. The construction is expected to take approximately 65 days, after which Rig D10 will be mobilised to drill Pintadillo-1, the first of up to three wells targeting the N Sand anomaly, which has been identified on 3D seismic. Pintadillo-1 will be a slightly deviated well, with a planned total measured depth of 8,448ft, and is expected to take approximately 21 days to drill and log.



Still, your point made me curious enough to check out previous well times from the company and here are my findings:

Platanillo-21 Spudded - 21st April 2017, estimated drilling time 27 days. Target reached 25 May 2017 = 35 days.

Mariposa-1 Spudded - 27th March 2017, estimated drilling time 38 days. Target reached 4th May 2017 = 39 days.

Platanillo-22 Spudded - 22nd March 2017 (?), estimated drilling time 30 days. Target reached 30 March 2017 = 21 days!

Platanillo-24 Spudded - 23rd December 2016, estimated drilling time 30 days. Target reached "just over 15 days".

Of course the exact number of days I counted may be off a day or two as they are going by RNS announcements or other news and so the actually event probably happened a day earlier or max 2 in some cases? Just gives an idea.

The timing is also dependent on things like the type of rig used, target depth etc...

Interesting:

They have to do something as Colombia is being held to ransom, in some cases by people bussed in by drug cartels, purporting to be local tribesmen.

These people often terrorise the indigenous real tribesmen.

We will get dud wells, every operator does, and especially on the first drill in any new campaign.

Indico will be interesting, but I'm wondering when they will temporarily stop production on Mariposa-1 and recomplete and perforate more of the nett pay zone.

Mariposa and Indico running at full production will have the market's attention. Promises to be an eventful close to the year. Looking cheap, esp with light-sweet commanding a premium in the next 1-2 years.

Well at long last some positive action.....if Indico and Put-7 keep to their Q3 spud programme we could have all three wells drilling at the same time.....that should lift the share price awaiting outcome
