im expecting a rise in the share price as traders and investors factor in a Duque election victory which all the polls suggest is the likely outcome. should see the share price settle a good couple of pence higher than here.

Lakeside:Thanka for the insight, interesting indeed. Im happy to sit n wait, probably not holding as much as the longer term holders or suffering as much here. Be nice to be above the 30p level though.Luckily i have largee holdings else where whuch are doing vwry well. Just sold out of OXB with a very nice profit after years of being under water they recwntly consolodated 50 to 1 and within weeks the share price went north and i to profit. I have another one curenrly multi bagin and about to double agai imho. So all in all .... its ok...Regards.K

Argues that current production at $60 Brent supports current share price - drilling in for free.

Kumala, on paper, this is a fantastic price to be purchasing. We've come a very long way since the early days of Chaco resources and John Wardle is a highly respected oilman in the area.

Things are just pretty hard to take for some of us long termers as although we've all done well out of the company, it's still difficult to see us trading at this sort of price range, especially when we were once stable at 60p+ and that was before we had the pipeline in place.

Probably the biggest annoyance is the contempt with which the PI is treated by the board, coupled with their outrageous options / free shares which they issue themselves. This can be overlooked when the share is performing, however when things are not going so well it becomes highlighted and hence quite a bit of anger being displayed here.

Although I moan a bit myself, I'd still honestly say that Amer are one of the better / safer AIM options and hopefully you and the rest of us will do very well here in the future.

Hi lakeside:Im pretty new to Amer with one buy only o 19th jan 2017. Only holding a small amount but was happy to buy in on the fundimentals and foresight moving forward and hoped that a rising share price would follow. Sadly ive been treding of underwater since, i probably dont know as much as most on here about the company but am happy to sit tight for now. Some you win some you loose, i hope we all win here.Cheers.K

Kumala, Yes totally agree with your post. Amerisur used to be one of those shares and that was more or less confirmed by the traffic across all the chatboard sites. We had a hardcore of about 30 posters who held large amounts of the shares then of course we had RH, GC and the rest of the bod.

It always appeared that GC didn't actually want to go public as there was very little effort or expense put into PR exercises, however this of course started to change as the company expanded. As I said, you can tell from the traffic on here that Amer is firmly on the sights of traders these days, that said, I'm sure if foiled is correct and JW has an Ace up his sleeve, then all will be forgiven and even the traders won't hold us back.........

Would never surprise me if at this low sp, with little evidence of Amerisur trying to create good news, that out of the blue we get an RNS not on a takeover although that can't be ruled out, but more likely announcement of a share buy back, soaking up any remainder of an iceberg order.

Apart from RH though the major holders in Amerisur seem very quiet. You would suspect that they would be voting with their feet, but they do not appear to be that concerned and if they aren't there is a reason.

Lakeside: your post 10429. : its the nature of the beast, unless you have a core shareholder base holding a large amt of stock with less available in the market the situation becomes worse, and the share price more volatile, sadly the traders who are happy with beer money jump in and out draging the share price down, while some LT invested Holders suffer, seen it before, and will see it again, however there are companies out there where the feee float is low, while PI's and inst.s hold the majority of stock very tightly so less available to trade reducing the downward presusre on the share price
I dont like shorting, or the like, or much in the way of day trading, for me, most of the time is to invest in a company for its fundimentals and long term growth, generaly its worked for me, with the likes in particular of CPR in years gone by and TCG, CPR went from market launce at circa £1.47 to over £12 and Tcg from circa 12p at one point when Harriet was brought on board where the share price went to over £1.80, I have traded both stock, for the long term growth, buying many many times, never got in at the very bottom or out at the very top but both have ben very very good for me, not holding CPR any more, but am holding TCG.
Markets are fickle, very unpredictable, with many many twists and turns along the way, important to do our research, and sift through all the info to come to a decision that will hopefully net a gain, not easy but enjoyable and very exciting when you get it right, the gains are imense, the losses are limited to what you put in, providing your buying the stock and not going long or short of course.
Any way, Good luck all, aimho, and DYOR of course.
K
PS I am a holder here.

Oh dear things are not looking too good here.

Plenty of time for the share price to drop much further before the drilling starts.

Does anyone here know when the drilling will start?

Is September in Q3?

Looking on the bright side, I suppose we should only really start to worry when JW is frustrated by the amount of oil in the water...

As an investor as opposed to a trader (more the fool me), I find it worrying that in recent history we seem to be the sort of company where traders can jump in, make their 20% and then jump back out leaving the share price languishing back at square one.

It's been a case of rinse and repeat here recently and the ramping / deramping on this very board, appears to confirm that we're firmly in the sights of many of these individuals / groups...........

Still wonder why they need support from an individual if they have multi million pound funding

Good luck Lucy

I know the people and it's not a scam. The support commitment is not in funding but in promotion and channel development. As I said, if I could invest without closing this one out I would but, at the risk of sounding daft, we're only talking about Amer reaching 36p over the same period and to me that's a no brainer. I will take a hit here as my average cost is about 20p.

Lucy, it looks like a scam to me and you need to redo the maths on your 125% appreciation of £80,000.

Lucy. Depends on so much. Do you have capital gains or BF capital losses.

Problem is there no such thing as a free lunch and that sort of asset appreciation for a start up seems a shot in the dark.

If it looks too good to be true it likely is and if it has multi million pound backing why telephone individuals?

Do you personally know the individuals, as these days scammers are everywhere?

if its seed capital on the basis it will float, but then doesn't, you can lose big time as its considered an 'at risk' investment.

Good luck with your decision

I always try to balance risk.
