Lucy - OK, I see. Thanks. I'll retract my last line if that's the case. But I do think they should announce the date of the AGM.
And remember: if you do get your own room at the "hotel" bring your own food or pre-book your breakfast esp. if you want eggs.

@lucyp00p - i assume you mean 08May (not 08Apr).

AMer are afraid of a shareholder revolt based on the last 12 months performance, a vote of no confidence and encouraging IIs to push this agenda.

We should come up with a key list of questions that some people who attend might ask..

A few questions for starters
1. OBA: what is the current status and impact of the RODA debottlenecking issue and when will it be resolved?
2. OBA: what is the plan to address and fund the RODA pumping station? are there any other OBA flow limiting issues and how and when are these being addressed?
3. Are there any active opportunities to source 3rd party oil and put it through the OBA pipeline?
4. Can Amer management publish and updated drilling plan for the next 12 months (approx by location and by month) with regular monthly RNS updates? (this will help build confidence and investment in the share)

I was told all the rooms had been closed off at their request. Perhaps to allow us all to book when the formal announcement is made. Perhaps not.

So much for: "The Company has appointed additional resource in the finance team to enable Nick Harrison to allocate more time to IR." etc etc. They can't even be bothered to tell us the date of the AGM! Again. And if they've booked all the rooms, it looks like they don't want us there anyway.

It has to be accepted that RH (as would any large seller in any company)has dictated the share price direction and could still do so.

What makes this so unusual is that neither current company news nor distressed seller circumstances are motivating this and so it looks to be a deliberate cutting off of the nose to spit the face (unless we suddenly hear of another inspired alternative, such as PANR mark 2).

Takeover talk always attracts interest: the potential of a quick buck brings in the hot money, so I would see that as part of the really positive news flow used to fight back.

If it is correct that there is a short position of 0.5% open at the moment, that looks to be insider trading, based on RH continuing to sell down his holding (and exacerbating that trend): trying to exit that position in this company in any other circumstances would spike the share price beyond our best expectations, should either on going improvements or one off news (and we are waiting for a couple of items) catch the market's attention.

It is not surprising that there should be speculation around this: given their known track record on taking action against insider trading, it would be interesting to know who is briefed within the company to monitor the short position v RH's disposals.

There's no volume to speak of this week, probably wont be next week either. Technicals are all at sixes and sevens on different timelines (daily / hourly). Have to wait for a bit of consolidation, technical indicators to settle down and some decent volume before it will break up through 23p. Week after next probably. Holiday season now.

still think this is being played, either further sell off, or juggling to get shares back holding price by whatever means.

One thing that was a surprise though is if Giles wanted to play hardball with RH why make the innuendo of a potential takeover.

Out of the way for a while...w o r k for a few weeks then potentially over to Bogota

The share price seems far too low and I suspect when it does change it will be rapid

There's little point in uncapping wells until the pipeline capacity is increased. I guess inactives don't show up in any reserve numbers either.

What is required now is for Amerisur to ascertain from their company registrars whether Mr Harbour has sold more shares, as they would know and it is important for shareholders or potential shareholders to know.

Not knowing is a license for short selling and insider trading

So come on Amerisur keep the improved communication and inform shareholders of whether there are more disposals from RH and if there is not expect a quick improvement in Sp as shorts run to cover and a more balanced market takes place
