Yup, clean audit report will be nice, but we can't change the post code.

Gold flying on dismal US jobs data, turning the market towards lower interest rates.

Not scary, maskirovka at its finest.
We see on the news the marvellous technological and medical advancements humans have made, but in other areas we have not progressed at all.

Russia is to deploy battlefield nuclear weapons to Belarus, justified by the fact that the USA has deployed similar weapons in allied states for decades.

Xi says that "all nuclear powers should not deploy nuclear weapons beyond their own borders"

Scary times.

Confiscation not just way back, but Executive Order 6102 in U.S. 1933.

Sadly I went fishing and lost it all at the bottom of the ocean. Can't remember the coordinates. Getting on a bit and the memory is failing, or to use the standard MP defence, "I CANNOT RECALL"

Silver is great for so many applications, many of which are historical, such as photography, mirrors, and silverware, which are all out of favour.

Silver is historically relatively very cheap compared to gold, but it's cheapness means new uses are being found.

As with all precious or bullion metals they can be confiscated by decree as in Louix 14 when he confiscated all privately held silver, or the US in the 1930s where they confiscated all privately held gold. Since then the gold standard was abandoned but gold is still held by all central banks.

Gold and silver physical should in my opinion be within every portfolio. Balance the portfolio you balance risk.

Silver becoming more and more prominent as an industrial metal both in terms of conductivity and its anti viral anti bacterial agent, let alone electrification.

Won't matter too much except we'd have to get paid a lot more dollars to compensate for any dollar decline. As a shareholder I'm happy to get a dividend in gold (tic).

Still wondering about byproducts produced, as it would be very unusual not to have a byproduct resource in gold production.

So, with ALTYN paid in US dollars by the Kaz government, would we prefer a different arrangement?

Xi is meeting central Asian leaders, including Kaz.

He's also been speaking with BRIC nations, and I understand Mexico now wants to join.

If Renminbi is the new reserve currency for the world's major resource producers, and note the recent warming between Saudi and Iran, and I can see the dollar reduced to a regional currency like the Euro.

The BRICS originally wanted a basked of currencies, perhaps linked to gold, but I think Xi will release a solid currency plan soon.

Agree and that day may be fast approaching, where gold and silver have to be reappraised as a store of wealth and tied once again to currency, giving that currency at least some meaning.
