i wonder if this share has been shorted, after all DB dumping would have been a great opportunity for a short position, but if that is the case then shorts must be closed, and this could be the reason for the recent firming up.

targets of 60k oz, then 80k oz, and 100k oz pending funding, and we now have funding, so its off to the races.

meanwhile GGP have a mkt cap of £180m and wont produce anything but a loss for 3 to 5 years, so their only hope is a buyout, and i think that is likely, but they have a long way to go compared to altn.

A lot of riddler spec gold stocks doing well , yet they are 3-5 years off production.
Altn sat on world class reserves of c. 3.5 million oz with Measured, indicated and inferred resources double that. If gold performs as we expect over the coming years and they sort out the production , this should go all the way up to 10p and beyond on valuation/ earnings metrics alone.

If it breaks through 0.75p then that is great but just knocking on the door is building strength in the share price. We all know that H2 2019 should show a reasonable to considerable improvement on H1 2019.

i'd just like to remind holders that saudi aramco, one of the worlds biggest listed companies, is 90% owned by one family, only 10% is available of the markets. obviously a totally different scale but the point is that this type of holding isnt unusual.

A placing is totally out of the question at anything like the current price or even at 3p/share IMO.

The family own 70% (c. 1,800 million shares).
They have expended c. $75m of their own cash to date.
That works out at c. 3.2p/share for just break-even on their outlay!

Consequently, given that their projects have not even begun to deliver on their potential, there is absolutely no rational reason for the family to relinquish any of their holdings below c. (say) 6p/share minimum - or even then for that matter.

Far more likely for all the new CAPEX to be raised through debt of some form or other and perhaps the likelihood of that is now starting to drive the price higher.

I believe that the family will get their return through dividends once free cash flow is available from Seki - and that would also be in the best interest for all stakeholders.

well, its still got a little way to go, maybe 82 or 85 before the chart indicates resistance, but what is driving this now?

i think news must be very close, and the numbers the company reveal should be transformational if they have delivered on targets, and the gold price will have helped that i expect.

GGP are fantastic at releasing news and look at their price, if only we could get some snippet of positive progress, you wouldnt see 1p for dust......
