03/11/2021 17:15 | For my education regarding ALGW business is in - I am looking at impax asset management and its valuations - interesting - is to describe it in a modest way because their theme is EGS - mandates are thrown at them it seems - one has to have the right theme offer - it looks like - and institutions give allocations to the popular theme by default. ALGW should take notice imho Theme is more important then returns and THEN it is filling itself to the up - themes get capital and hence the SPs are driven higher - so it gets even more capital allocation ... also a gatherer network helps - like the one ALGW is building if one looks at them all the usual suspect can be found on their page - WEF, BlackRock etc | kaos3
03/11/2021 09:19 | Good digging Tell Sid. Well worth a recap for anyone invested or thinking of investing. I believe there are a lot of opportunities here and once we see the next big deal signed up the penny will start to drop. Decent returns, uncorrelated asset class with income and growth features. Lots to like. GS has always said this is about long term sticky revenue. With a min $50m investment the AUM and revenue numbers can grow pretty quickly. Looking forward to the next news / update. | rambo5048
03/11/2021 09:04 | GS talks about the forthcoming Alpha Growth and Income Strategy. Looks like they will be 10 year term accounts with minimum $50m investments, so nice sticky recurring commission + bonus revenues for ALGW (7/8/2020): and from 7 min 40 sec (23/7/2020): Also mentions a longevity insurance component to the investment to underwrite returns, which looks like a unique selling point. Should be about ready for launch, particularly as double and tripple jabbed investors will now be taking a longer-term view again. | tell sid
02/11/2021 08:55 | Tell Sid.. Interesting thoughts on that and I agree the reason being is in one of the July interviews GS did state to expect something Q4 and I believe he could have been referring to that strategy. The AGI strategy was also detailed in the 19th July RNS (I believe the interview referenced above was based on this release) under that Separate managed accounts strategy section and the fact it offers growth and an income stream should be attractive for HNWI investors. Another point to consider here is I believe we are one big deal away (50-100m)from generating the fee revenue (not including any additional performance elements) to cover the loss of £460k (as per accounts on Friday) before we are in profit and as this strategy has a minimum investment of $50m it would make a decent contribution to reducing that over a years management timeframe. When the RCF/ Direct investment lands that too will take us well into positive territory. Just my view as things stand but GS to deliver the goods. | rambo5048
02/11/2021 08:37 | I suspect we will soon hear something about the new Growth + Income facility they said they had begun to promote last November 2020. Minimum investment $50m. Ongoing fees from a couple of those accounts could be transformational.Tak | tell sid
01/11/2021 16:11 | Good strong recovery today folks! | astubbs67602
01/11/2021 15:49 | And 610k over the ask. Someone in a hurry to build or add to a position. Come on GS. Time to drop that 'big news' weve all been waiting for for so long. | cszjrh2
01/11/2021 13:02 | And another 500k | jungmana
01/11/2021 12:17 | Someone bought 600k shares there in quick time | jungmana

01/11/2021 10:01 | Sharetalk, GS mentioned both Eaton Partners and Peter Gilman in the July interview. It was in relation to Eaton that he said there would be more news this year - re high net worth individuals, family offices, etc, so presumably investments into their BOAG Fund or another investment vehicle. Gilman was bought in to help with the life insurance side.hTTps://m.youtu | tell sid
01/11/2021 09:44 | ODR sold all mine first thing this morning with a small profit, I want to hear about other projects before I dip my toe back in. | avsome1968
01/11/2021 09:28 | Or might have been a ref to appointment of Peter Gilman and the follow on plans. | sharetalk
01/11/2021 09:26 | I seem to recall GS saying in an interview on 20th July there would be news this year following on from the appointment of Eaton for big client introductions. Seperate managed accounts and/or Growth + Income accounts? | sharetalk |
