24/3/2023 07:39 | OSK will be a cash cow providing the satellites work. The problem with these is they are machinery. A small issue with a component can render the whole Sat useless Neil Armstrong ain't going up there to fix it. | bobonumber1
23/3/2023 13:28 | Amazing. I know they mentioned something about it in the quarterly update they gave but I literally put nil value on it until we had something back that was concrete. I knew there was a tonne of embedded optionality in OSK but I thought it was more to do with the launches than the contract wins. | catabrit
23/3/2023 12:58 | Greetings Catabrit. It was suggested on this BB that the contract would be worth circa $100m pa, so a massive boost to the future of OSK and more importantly it's market cap :-) | damers
23/3/2023 12:36 | The link wasn't working so posted below: SAN FRANCISCO, March 22, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) has selected Orbital Sidekick (OSK) for its latest focus area study of commercial space-based hyperspectral imaging (HSI) capabilities under the agency’s Strategic Commercial Enhancements (SCE) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The SCE BAA contracts aim to evaluate and integrate emerging commercial remote sensing capabilities for their ability to support IC and DOD mission areas. “This is an exciting step for OSK that strengthens our relationships with the defense and intelligence communities, and it comes just in time for the launch of the very first constellation of commercial space-based HSI systems,” said Dr. Katie Corcoran, VP of Government Affairs at OSK. OSK’s first six-satellite hyperspectral constellation (GHOSt) will launch during 2023. Each satellite in the constellation will capture 472 spectral bands across the visible to shortwave infrared range (VSWIR, 400 - 2500 nm) at 8 m (HSI) and 3 m (panchromatic) GSD, and with a target revisit rate of up to daily for certain locations. Orbital Sidekick’s vision is to build the most robust remote sensing and analytics capability in existence. OSK’s proprietary analytics platform and hyperspectral payload architecture will provide persistent space-based monitoring solutions powered by Spectral Intelligence™. This unique radiometric speciation and change detection capability will enable unparalleled target monitoring services for both commercial and defense users on a global scale. Orbital Sidekick is headquartered in San Francisco, California. For more information on Orbital Sidekick’s global persistent monitoring services, please visit www.orbitalsidekick. | catabrit
23/3/2023 12:35 | Any idea what this means from an economic POV? Does it de-risk OSK? | catabrit
23/3/2023 12:34 | Nice, Damers. Thanks for sharing. Love this thread. | catabrit

22/3/2023 11:50 | Where is this statement ? | bobonumber1
22/3/2023 11:27 | I thought the same but I think some of these projects / customers are perhaps more recession proof than is acknowledged. I guess we will find out in April what the forecast looks like for FY 2023. You've got to think CA have a bit of an edge information wise but you never know. I was hoping for a commentary a little more bullish but the last update set the tone really; this is more of a medium-term play. | catabrit
21/3/2023 19:56 | CRS commentary on ALM. Not hugely positive re FW. | horndean eagle
21/3/2023 11:08 | A bit over my head but AWS and FW..https://youtu.be | kooba
18/3/2023 13:43 | I'd be happy with a $1b takeover by AWS later this year myself ! | kooba
18/3/2023 13:27 | Some of that is just marketing / talking-up their own book. But yes, the excitement and potential is palpable. I think they have the potential to be a great IPO candidate in the years ahead. They are certainly building the brand with that in mind. | catabrit
18/3/2023 06:45 | Our successful visit to Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2023 made one thing clear: private wireless and shared spectrum have truly "arrived" ... and nothing can stop our momentum in this space.https://www.fe | kooba
27/2/2023 18:33 | They are all busy in Barcelona..more with Cisco."Cisco, Red River, and Federated Wireless align to bring the benefits of Cisco Private 5G to U.S. government customers: Public sector customers can leverage the industry-leading expertise and combined strengths of Cisco, Red River integration services, and Federated Wireless private wireless and spectrum management to improve and extend wireless experiences and drive both new capabilities and operational efficiencies across their mission-critical deployments."https:/ | kooba
27/2/2023 10:22 | More news today about an expanded partnership with Cisco in Wi-Fi 6E. Feeling really good about Federated. It’s so rare to have an insurance policy that also has imbedded call option potential. | catabrit
