Africa services & infrastructure is where they seem to be looking but there's
only six and a bit weeks left to find something before the AIM trapdoor opens.

sorry that should have been 1st of June (0.68p closing price)

if there was to be a takeover does it apply that the takeover can be the highest price the shareprice has been over a 12 months period? if that is the case then it would be 0.68 which was the price on the 1st of July. Prior to this the share price at the end of May 2013 was 0.82 which would give a 15% discount. If a company where to wait until 2nd of July to take Afe over they could buy the company for 0.5p per shares as that would be the highest share price over a 12month period with that price being the closing price on 2nd of Sept.

Not sure if the 12 month rule applies but its interesting as this board have waited until the end of May to announce the appointment which has meant a min of 15% discount is possible for a takeover.......

I would suggest that many are more worried about not averaging down, than rule 9.

anyone worried about this suggestion?

Watch out on AFE, with regard to AIM rule 9, with such large shareholding by the two new appointments; it could end up being taken out at a low price, or even de-listed and taken private, if they increase their holding under Rule 9.

The thing that appeared to stop the previous rally was coburg selling. I reckon it would have moved north rapidly without them. Interestingly they bought back a small amount later on. Well the only way they would in theory do that was because they weren't insiders, ie if approached they declined to be made inside, so they didn't know at the time what was going on. Maybe they know what is going on now. As for the other company who didn't appear to know how much they were selling, they may or may not have stopped, but they appear to be. I may be wrong but I wonder if the sales were made for some kind of emotional reason.

How far this thing moves up depends on the news and what the other players do. From the tone of the rns I surmise not far off.

I would also have thought that the cash earned from the old non core afe assets will come in useful.

The interesting thing is that the deals were made in April, leaving nickel left, allowing focus. Remember if we can get our hands back on the nickel prospects then it is not just three deposits up for grabs.

Can't remember seeing this before, emphasis on the need for trains, hardly surprising really, but you would have hoped that the old company would have put that in front of people's minds. Different audience, different presentation? If people knew the demands on infrastructure, I guess many would not have made.so many large losses. The original gang of.afe got lucky and left for a less than positive reason. Surely they could have got a suitable investor in when times were good? The replacements left for another reason, and smacked of a race against time in light of declining industry conditions to replace the incumbents with people who appeared to know what they were doing. The new gang may well be able to prove the solution of the unanswered question of why the two hills aren't going to be levelled any time soon. One thing helps is the $300m investment in the train line.

Anglo are definately finished so will see what Coburg do from here. Need the new board to release a plan going forward which should attract new investors. I guess alot of going to depend if the Dutwa project is commercial and what NC's intention is for this project.

Going off the last spike there are a lot of investors in this over the 0.45p range, if the selling has stopped i reckon this could get back to around that level, any news out of the blue and it's positive then who knows.

thanks for the links Josephrobert.

where does everyone see the shareprice reaching this week? i guess a benefit for the shareprice is thats its unlikely any of the large shareholders will be selling. Anglo are out the way now and Coburg bought back in so they are unlikely to sell but you never know. Hopefully there will be an RNS on monday to outline the company plan going forward now that the new board has been appointed.

Really excited about the prospect of the new board. The market cap here is under £3m, AFE still have a 10% free carry interest in Dutwa until $20m (£12m) has been spend on the development of the project. I think the board should consider consolidated the shares 10:1 or even 100:1, buying the project back of Nick Clarke, afterall they did sell it for only $100k with the 10% free carry interest clause. Not sure how much he would sell it back but Kola Karim's Shoreline have funds so might be worth joint venture with them to take the project into production. The nickel price has significantly increase this year and there is a higher demand for it now than there was a few years ago when this project was sold. Will be interesting to see where this goes from here....

The RNS today was perfect timing. It allowes people to do their research over the weekend. KK and NC are big players in Africa and will have a plan going forward which i believe would have been in the pipeline for sometime. Althou a RTO is highley likely they mean keep AFE, consolidate the shares then sort funding out. The Dutwa project will be sold back to AFE and a JV with shoreline natural resources could be an option. This has the potential for a multi bagger. These guys are here to seriously turn things around and not waste time. The 8.05 trade last week was the last of Anglos holdings. GLA

Guys dont think anglo sold any today, i had a look at the list of major shareholders on the AFE site and it was updated before today i think it may have been the 28th and it never showed anglo having any when previously they had 1.5% after their disposal last week. People are waking up to this
