In case there's any confusion, I've been in touch with their comms firm Buchanan and the webcast is at 10:00am. They have updated the link too:

Yes Kev what a result! they beat many other big companies over the finish line and they had to contend with a $40 rise in oil to get the deal aswell

Wow. What a deal. I wonder when it will be re-admitted. Maybe we'll find out more at 10am. Still, a longer way to go than expected but still very quick considering the boys announced their plans only in May 2021.

"The next steps will be to complete our due diligence process and to conclude our discussions on the debt facility to fund the acquisition, with a view to completing the transaction in the third quarter of 2022."

It's a big deal. Both parties want to get it right. Hopefully it'll be quicker but having been in and out of Aminex (operate in Tanzania) for 8/9 years nothing would surprise me re African nations' negotiations.

Only a couple of more months to go - possibly 3 months. Can't believe how quickly things are moving for Africa.

Price paid? Funding split between fresh equity and debt? Net bopd production forward-looking to Aet?

Listing document needed.

this has to be one of the best small cap deals in a long term a $40 rise in price and they still let the asset go to AET

In a statement to which Agência Lusa had access on Friday, Sonangol states that Blocks 3/05, 4/05, 5/06, 15/06, 18, 23, 27 and 31 were open to public tender for the partial alienation of its participatory interests.According to Sonangol, for the places in production, Afentra (20%) were selected for Block 3/05; for Block 15/06, Namcor, Sequa and Petrolog (10%); for Block 18, Somoil and Sirius (8.5%) and for Block 31 Somoil and Sirius (10%).For the blocks under exploration, the Angolan state oil company selected for Block 23 Namcor, Sequa and Petrolog (Operator 40%) and Afentra (40%) and for Block 27 Namcor, Sequa and Petrolog (35%) and Somoil and Sirius (25%).After evaluating the bids received, the companies that presented values that were closest to those established in the conditions of sale defined by Sonangol were selected.

Moronic comments from chesty. As if Afentra (or any other company) could dictate the pace of a sale by another company. Judging by his posts I'd say his lack of success with Sterling was more down to his own stupidity. Time to filter.

chesty you know a new board took over last year?

Unless you are new to the markets you would know acquisitions lead to suspensions 3-6 months is typical
