06/4/2011 09:39 | Allenby Capitals latest report on AFC: | new tech
05/4/2011 16:50 | Well that's end of year over, I feel those that have sold for tax purposes may miss out on a big rise if we get the news that is expected over the next 30 days, I'll stick with my holding. Whatever the negative posters say. | beeezzz
05/4/2011 14:09 | Anybody have any guesses on how the stand alone units may work. I imagine a simple operation would be to have a hydrogen tank feeding the required number of fuel cells. This produces the power for the store plus excess getting fed back into the grid. The waste product, water! gets to flush the toilets... | jpsmithson
05/4/2011 13:58 | Walkdown ? Just seems to be following the trading (makes a change LOL). Nobody is selling for CGT unless they have no intention of buying back within 30 days (or don't understand the rules). | al h
05/4/2011 13:34 | MM's seem to be walking the price down again, they just don't want this to go to high, also some must be taking there CGT profits which is a reasonable action. I still can't see why AIM are not allowed in an ISA. | beeezzz
05/4/2011 13:21 | Good company. Good Product. Good News . | ccr1958
05/4/2011 12:54 | One of my brokers rang me two weeks ago to say how well the shares had done and would I like to take profits. One day homeowners will have fuel cells near their homes. | tom89
05/4/2011 11:17 | I imagine this leaked out as most of rise came last week, however, any new outlet for AFC fuel cell is welcome, we just need Walmart to catch wind on this and the sky's the limit. I imagine there may even be some more good news tomorrow, hopefully, it also demonstrates that other companies have faith in AFC's fuel cells, which should be a boost to there hard work and creditability. | beeezzz
05/4/2011 11:12 | The most important part of the statment is :- Toby Marlow, Engineering Manager, John Lewis Partnership, commented, "The John Lewis Partnership has identified the potential of AFC Energy as a key partner in our efforts to reduce emissions as we continue to expand. Their alkaline fuel cell gives us the opportunity to make clean electricity on site: it is a revolutionary prospect with exciting potential. This first demonstration could be the beginning of a mutually beneficial long-term relationship." They sort out AFC and WILL want it to work. | rovi57
05/4/2011 09:55 | Can only buy 1500 shares online. | someuwin
05/4/2011 09:18 | The words news and responsible are correct but it isn't what i'm referring to. Why can you still not see what trading is about. | matt123d
05/4/2011 09:06 | I have added a link to today's news under Section 7 of the thread heading which covers "Other Flagship Projects". | new tech
05/4/2011 09:05 | So news wasn't responsible for the last big rise then eh Matt "Pro" trader. I guess it's all to do with watching the 5 DMA, it never lies. LOL ... still a clown ! | al h
05/4/2011 08:54 | JONNO1 - 5 Apr'11 - 08:12 - 2429 of 2432 John Lewis!!!!!!!!!!! don't get it . Are they going to have a UCG plant dug under Oxford St? Hardly Centrica is it I see this as a leading example, if this works out for them, they can push an awful lot of publicity which will drag other national stores, perhaps the foodies and other highstreet chains along with them. Dont forget council and government buildings too. That it, ONLY if things prove sucessful. Still decent news imho, would like to see us break into new highs now | smith99
05/4/2011 08:38 | Looks very much like a "maybe" jam tomorrow RNS .... maybe. Still nothing regarding commercialisation of the cells and hard orders. Surely there's more to the rise than this ? | al h
05/4/2011 08:22 | And could centrica play in this? For roll out? | realism
05/4/2011 08:18 | This is indeed massive and unexpected news. Developing AFCs fuel cells for stand alone power generation!!! If John Lewis/Waitrose roll this out over their 150 stores the others will need to keep up. Tescos/sainsburys/as | jpsmithson
05/4/2011 08:12 | John Lewis!!!!!!!!!!! don't get it . Are they going to have a UCG plant dug under Oxford St? Hardly Centrica is it | jonno1
05/4/2011 08:09 | Have you guys taken a look at the RNS. Excellent news!!! John Lewis is the first start in a untapped market. | realism
05/4/2011 08:04 | Matt "Pro" trader ... what part of "I don't have a SB account" don't you understand ? I trade these shares ... for obvious reasons. | al h
05/4/2011 07:35 | Al H is short and trying to make excuses for his mistake now, he's just another inexperienced person on these markets, they make it so much easier for the rest of us to make money. His mistake is evident from today's news! | matt123d
05/4/2011 06:58 | Ali H, no personal interest in this share. You want to protect us from losing money. Are you a saint? | realism
04/4/2011 19:25 | I don't have a SB account so it'd be difficult to short anything in my case. Just being objective regarding the strange share price movements with this share. I'm always dubious about suspect movement that seems to be monkey instigated off the back of nothing. Although the last blip seemed to occur a week or so before the reason became apparent so maybe the same will happen this time. | al h |
