21/8/2009 10:31 | Birdie says a major deal has been signed and more on the way. Just topped up. | dawsonpaul
17/8/2009 15:35 | This_is_me I meant, its not an explosive breakout. Usually when it peaks recent resistance on the upside, you get a large number of buyers pushing it higher (just like when you break on the downside trying to sell). It wasnt explosive and lost a bit of momentum. Still holding though, the market has mis-priced this one. | bottompicker

13/8/2009 22:27 | Bottom picker. whar are you talking about BottomPicker - 13 Aug'09 - 13:03 - 1558 of 1563 hardly a break out, only 2000 shares traded to break on the upside, lets see if any volume comes back in first Read the trade data. There were a lot more shares traded this morning than 2,000. You are talking through your bottom. | this_is_me

13/8/2009 13:38 | I'm guessing the 193,587 trade was a sell that has finally been completed, hence the share price rise now that the overhang has been removed. Only a guess mind... | thekobbler

13/8/2009 11:55 | No idea, P/E of 3. They have massive borrowings compared to their share price, but these borrowings are underpinned by their inventories. They are trading under their NAV. | bottompicker
13/8/2009 10:24 | Feels like these are ready for a long, steady climb. Anybody any idea why these are so low? Feel like I must be missing something. | evaluate

13/8/2009 10:09 | Sold out at 235 a month ago thinking this would correct down, in that time the FTSE is up over 10% Bought back now as I think its only a matter or time before this goes up under this pressure. | bottompicker
12/8/2009 16:28 | I suppose patience is a virtue. Cost pressure on airlines must help AI. | this_is_me
11/8/2009 03:28 | Nice one Robsy, I've been thinking about that $100- million too, it's a bit like the sword of damacles - the sooner that bill of exchange is cashed then the sooner the share price can recover. That Bill was probably why the FD got canned. | mdj8
07/8/2009 23:58 | Robsy2, Good find. As you say this news should not do AI. any harm at all. The share price has consolidated pretty well in this range for the last month or more so hopefully a upward move is not too far off. Dibbs | dibbs
07/8/2009 09:33 | Morning all Good news from Air Canada yesterday. If you type in Air canada bankrupsy there are a number of sites, one of which inncludes an interview with the CEO. Here is an extract from "In his second stint at Air Canada, Mr. Rovinescu has now struck new labour pacts that freeze wages among five unions, persuaded unions and retirees to back a pension funding moratorium, won Ottawa's support for the pension relief, and talked lenders into injecting money into the cash-strapped carrier, walking away with $1-billion in financing." The union deal was crucial , so bankrupsy fears have been averted so the threat to us has diminished and maybe the sector is lifting itself a bit. The figures are due in September and they should be good with a stronger balance sheet and a fat dividend. Based on expected results the rating here is undemanding. | robsy2

30/7/2009 14:56 | dawsonpaul, Preliminaries were released on 22nd September last year (2008) and on 10th September in 2007. Do you know of any (concrete) reason why they will be released in mid-August this year, or is this more info. from the little birdie(s)? regards, mac900 P.s. these birdies aren't cuckoos that happen to live between clouds by any chance, are they? I will, of course, apologise if indeed the results are out in mid-August AND if they make 'this baby rocket' . . . . nothing would please me more! | mcdermott900 |
