Well you know what I think. I've been happily topping up on these from the proceeds of other shares which have done well recently. I shall enjoy the dividends too

juju43 - you may well be right, but I wouldn't be going short on AI. Must admit I put in a buy order on L2 10p adrift of opening price and see it was executed this pm!! But, at least these were from a part share holding that I had previously sold 21p higher - that was lucky though, not something usually associated with this share!! Anyway have the dvidend to look forward to, which if the year end is maintained is a very useful 10.59% at the current price!!

The swine flu is overblown I think ( hope ), but it certainly isnt gonna help the airline industry. If it escalates, expect quite a few more airlines to go under this year. Sentiment will be against the sector so I cant see this making headway with that cloud hanging over the markets.

I have bought now - topped up yesterday at 1.75. I will however be buying a lot more if they get to 1.50 if they go that low again which I doubt. These are a bargain at the moment

at 2x next years earnings they're looking very cheap to me at these levels.

Mercury - Does that mean that you think they are expensive at the moment? Why wait for 150p, why not buy now?

All good points. If it gets to 1.50 again which I doubt unless the whole market takes a dive I'll be buying lots more.

Splitting hairs really because it should make a new all time high at some point, don't ask me when.Once the World gets back in shape and they get themselves back on top of things. As they have said "the business model is essentially very simple" but operationally they have not sparkled this last year.Such massive growth seems to have engulfed them at an operational level.Things seem to have got out of control. Perhaps the shake-up in the Operations area is what is needed, a bit more stock control would be good, (that is the business they are in after all) some new software maybe that predicts demand so they can allign the buying with the usage. On the plus side they have huge, lucrative contracts that stretch forward for years and that is worth a lot.
A number of things are still in their favour, true the industry they serve is in trouble so they need to be careful who they are dealing with but what they do has value and they have the reach to do it for other airlines. The cost of the debt thye have is very cheap and the dollar exchange rate is great for sterling quoted stock so I'm still fairly bullish long-term , if they can show that they are back on track.

Robsy2 - I think you could be right there, but if Dow maintains 8000 would be tempted in at around 160p.

Youre probably right to do so as well!
I'm holding fire just in case it hits a new low. I'm a buyer at anything below 150p.

I would expect the Mexican flu epidemic to negatively affect the number of people flying.

One thing after another!!

Relevent section from today's MGGT IMS:

In civil aerospace, air traffic, measured in available seat kilometres, is
projected to decline by 5-6% in 2009 and to stay flat or increase slightly in
2010. This would translate into reduced use of existing aircraft and, combined
with adverse conditions in credit markets, lower or delayed sales of new
aircraft. Sales and usage of business jets are likely to suffer the largest
declines.

I don't think a 5-6% decline in seat kilometeres is so bad given the collapse in the share price

Don't know what's going on here but I can't get a quote at less than 1.85 when the market shows 1.77???

Added here, just needs a move over that 50dma then it will be a quick run to 220p.

If it does then 250p target within a few sessions.

I am battered by this stock but still on board! It has been a humbling experience to date.It appears that we have now hit the bottom so we should see some stability and maybe some upward movement. I can see the share price hitting 15 GBP at some point but not by September 2010, but that is not a big problem for me.
SP is strong of late, but still trailing the market on the upside. Good volume as well.

EK wake up amd smell the coffee, it's OK to short in a falling market but I think we are in for a steady rally with bouts of profit taking and going long is the best option.

Darn tempted to buy a few more of these, quite a few of my indebted smaller co recovery stocks are up nicely on the day eg TTG, XPP UMC :-)

I plucked up the courage to buy 2 days ago @162p....If the share price crosses the previous recent high of 210p I think we will be on an upward trend.

Robsy,- sounds like all your enthusiasm for this stock has been beaten out of you by the ever declining share price. I think we must have hit the Robsy capitulation point a couple of days ago, because I feel the same way but look on the bright side - why is £15- such an unreasonable target? Everything that made it a viable target a year and a half ago is still in place. Don't forget also that the directors all have their retirement wealth to think of - they won't give in that easily. I reckon they may consider £10- but £4.50- no way. Onwards and upwards back to £10- + where the share price should be!
