Posted at 07/8/2024 12:05 by snakehips You may very well ask Giant. Finally got my share certificate from my broker. We are still share holders but in an umlisted company now. So they still have value, the only question is what? |
Posted at 02/8/2024 11:28 by sharewatching But at what price. |
Posted at 02/8/2024 11:09 by skyship WOW - AFN UP 70% @ 23p. Tipped somewhere; or bid coming perhaps... |
Posted at 29/5/2023 12:26 by bamboo2 I like the 'old school' feel of the bb's.I think you need to look at repricing either an ad free or limited ad offering. [Currently over £195/year in addition to other costs] This is way too much for 'casual' users like myself. From the comments above, this would make users much happier, and would likely lead to more subscription income. Giving people a choice seems to be working quite well for both Netflix and ITV ...also can we have the Trading View charts back? They work really well with the mid price based price inputs. My direct free sub with TView uses last market pricing which leads to some ridiculous candle shapes on the daily chart. |
Posted at 26/5/2023 22:11 by piperpeter Carlos (ADVFN),Thanks for looking into the problem with the financials re MEN, Molecular Energies. To be able to now immediately see the market cap, generated revenue, profit, P/E Ratio and Earnings Per Share, will give any prospective investor an outline of how the Company is performing. Much appreciated. Pp. |
Posted at 25/5/2023 09:11 by piperpeter Carlos (ADVFN),Could you please explain why the financials on the company Molecular Energies, MEN, either are showing zero or left completely blank, including the sector and market cap? Surely this missing information is critical in drawing the attention of a prospective investor to said company. A share price on its own means absolutely nothing. Could you also please explain why, after my many efforts to bring this to ADVFN's attention via the messaging service, over what is a prolonged period now, that nothing appears to be done to rectify this, and why no one replies to me in this regard? Please take a look at my post number 8 on the premium users suggestions bb. Pp. |
Posted at 13/2/2023 14:20 by piperpeter To ADVFN from a dissatisfied subscriber...Why do you not respond to some subscriber's messages? Why do you continue to display erroneous information about some companies when it has quite clearly been brought to your attention on many occasions? Example... Molecular Energies plc, MEN. ADVFN state the wrong sector. ADVFN state the wrong turnover. ADVFN state the wrong profit. ADVFN state the wrong EPS (earnings per share). ADVFN state the wrong PE ratio (price to earnings). Pp. |
Posted at 05/2/2023 20:07 by bamboo2 A poster called 'Charting Charlie', who may have been associated with ADVFN used to post certain categories of charts, such as...52 week highs high volume breakouts Price rising above triple smas ...and many others. It would be great if advfn could introduce a similar thing again. This is the original address for the website This is his profile |
Posted at 17/1/2023 20:33 by mattjos Any chance of ADVFN running a monthly and annual Share investment competition for users to enter with a bit of prize money.Lots of individual thread do such things but, an ADVFN community competition would be great and I am sure ADVFN could find a way of monetising the data collated in terms of sharing with accredited third parties thereby making it self-financing. Would definitely increase user engagement |
Posted at 17/1/2023 20:19 by mattjos I am quite sure that most proper investors would have no problem paying … the benefits of membership far exceed such a nominal annual fee .. the collective knowledge pool and abilities in this forum & the fact that most people so willingly & enthusiastically share their knowledge with others is akin to each user standing on the shoulders of a collective giant.I believe folk would be daft not to pay, particularly if in so doing it cleaned up the forum & helped the owners drive forward improvements. Let's be honest, if folk unwilling to pay a nominal fee towards an improved user experience then would their absence actually be missed by the rest? If you cant afford £25-£50 / year for basic ADVFN access then arguably you can't afford to invest in Stocks & Shares. |
