They don't own the IP for the product the IP is owned by the guys AEG previously stitched up and I can't wait for that lawsuit to drop as I've mentioned it a few dozen times but no one will listen.

AEG will never be able to supply the volume and the quality, note they are currently not washing the material, which is a core part of the process, the test in Hunter Power will fail.

True but when a director gets a chance to buy Stk at 65pct discount to recent placing and buys 15k worth it's pathetic and shows NO confidence

Gravendonck Private Foundation ("Gravendonck") has disposed of a total of 89,623,809 ordinary shares of 0.01p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 0.375p per Ordinary Share.

Lock-in agreement

Gravendonck has entered into a lock-in agreement with the Company, pursuant to which it has undertaken not to dispose of any more of its remaining holding of 716,942,300 Ordinary Shares for a period of one year from today's date, other than with the prior consent of the board of AEG.

James Leahy, Chairman 5,000,000 10,000,000 0.3%
Michael Rowan,
CEO 5,000,000 14,986,250 0.4%

Good to see them finally buying some in the market. Make what you will of the quantities.

circa £17.5k each.

Why do they want Gravendock locked in for the time being...?

Not sure what's nice about it - shares being dumped, directors buying a paltry amount of them and the rest likely to be sold in 12 months time.

This website seems full of misinformation. I think I will avoid until we have release from AEG BoD about the efficacy of CoalSwitch.

In my opinion NC Policy Watch certainly have an agenda that they don't always want the facts to stand in the way of! Some of that was visible in the Air Permit hearings and in a number of published pieces which seemed more about rhetoric and opinion than factual accuracy.

The piece linked to above certainly appears to be of a different nature - with substantive content which is cited as quotes.

It concerned me that when AEG tweeted the picture of product it was ambiguous as to how much...

In the AGM and trading statement 8th July:
"During the last six weeks, CoalSwitch(TM) ("CoalSwitch") has been produced at the facility located at Ashland, Maine (the "Ashland Facility").

No guide provided as to how much had been produced.

The NC Policy piece:
"Eric Kennedy, director of licensing and compliance with Maine’s Bureau of Air Quality, said that during the trial period the company has produced only about eight tons of pellets that it had promised to PacifiCorp.

In response to questions from Policy Watch, an Active Energy spokesman said via email that “Active Energy Group will not be making any comments at this time.”

So, 900 to 1,000 tonnes due for delivery. AEG are reported to have produced circa 8 tonnes. So they didn't manage to deliver even 1% of what was contracted.

The source is the director of licensing and compliance - it is his job to have monitored what was produced!

On the 2nd of June Mr Rowan tells us:

"Michael Rowan, CEO, Active Energy Group:

"We are delighted to have successfully commissioned the Ashland Facility and to have begun production of CoalSwitch(TM). This is part of AEG's plan to have two operational CoalSwitch(TM) plants on the east coast of the US during 2021. I would like to thank all involved for their support in recent weeks, notably the State of Maine and the engineering team at Player Design. We will now proceed to deliver CoalSwitch(TM) to PacifiCorp on time and accelerate the CoalSwitch(TM) fuel testing programme."

That gives the impression that everything is on track without actually being specific about quantity

Why no comment on quantity?

14th June in the full results:
"-- First production of CoalSwitch at the Ashland Facility in June 2021 and commencement of delivery of CoalSwitch to PacifiCorp in Utah."

Again, production commences, delivery commences - but no statement on quantity.

Why no comment on quantity?

I think there is ample evidence that Mr Rowan is being deliberately conservative with the truth - and how much of it he is choosing to disclose. That does not speak well of his personal integrity in dealing with very very long suffering shareholders who have continued to support this company because they see environmental, social and financial benefits from the widespread use of the technology.

That is just my view - but Mr Rowan has sadly not given me anything on which to build an counter-balance!

And I continue to worry about repeated changes in direction and location along with related party arrangements.

And he still isn't buying in the market.

Dear Isa2020,

I am indeed a former AEG employee and still hold a small volume of shares as derisked, but have options should anything come (I doubt it) of this business.

I support Shareholders in trying to get their money back from the BOD who never listen to those in the know and continually lie.

Mr Rowan has hidden behind COVID for 2 years and not had to face shareholders at a real AGM.

I read the first paragraph as conjecture or misunderstanding. The third and fourth paragraphs seems to suggest that there is more to it...

Emissions:
"DEQ granted Active Energy an air permit last year, over strenuous public objections and concerns about public health and the environment. Shortly afterward, the company began tinkering with the technology, ostensibly to reduce potential emissions. Instead, the changes appear to increase them. DEQ issued a Notice of Violation to Active Energy on May 5 for construction new equipment and changing the process design without state approval.

When Active Energy announced in May that it would manufacture wood pellets in Maine, conservative lawmakers were quoted in the Carolina Journal blaming, without evidence, the NC Department of Environmental Quality for the company’s decision. Active Energy still owns the Lumberton plant, but has not produced pellets there.

Division of Air Quality spokeswoman Zaynab Nasif said in May that the company’s amended application, filed in late April, “appears to indicate an increase in potential emissions due to these control and process modifications. The department has also found inconsistencies in the emissions estimates.”

The most significant upticks are for carbon monoxide, the emissions of which are projected to increase 104%, from 7.9 tons per year to just over 16 tons. Particulate matter — essentially fine dust — would increase dramatically from 0.1 tons per year to 26.7 tons, according to the permit applications. Hazardous air pollutants, classified by the EPA as those that can cause cancer and other serious health problems, also increased: 6,263 pounds a year, up from 4,963 pounds.

Now, were these modifications to the small plant or might they be an application for the permit extension to the larger plant and hence the discrepencies?

Either way - they still don't seem to be able to get the bread and butter right.

...............

ISA, re the question of sawmill activity:

"Active Energy was running a sawmill at the Lumberton facility, but that operation is also in doubt. “We’ve ceased saw log exports from Lumberton because it doesn’t fit our ethos with what we’re trying to achieve,” Rowan said in the investor presentation. “We’ve kept the sawmill under review. We have produced the feedstock for future activities.”"
